hey everyone!! i need soem quick advice. when i went to the bank to get my statement from them that the affadavit requires about my account being opened and my cash flow for last year etc. they said all they could give me was print outs from the internet on their computer system that showed all the information. they stamped it with their company stamp and all. will cause a problem at the interviw because it is not an actual statement or will it prove enough what needs to be proven?? thanks

I think it varies from consulate to consulate.

As for my bank letter, I couldn't just walk in to my bank branch and request that info, either. I called the main customer service line and explained what I needed. I spoke with the benefits coordinator or something to that effect. They actually have a form they provide to you for immigration purposes. I faxed them my request, along with my signature that they had the authority to deduct the $25 administrative fee from my checking account, and I gave them a federal express account number. They fed-exed it to me and I got it the very next day.

You may be ok with what you have, but if you're nervous about it, it shouldn't be too difficult to get the proper document from your bank fairly quickly.

What this means is the clerk you dealt with at the bank didnt know what to do or was to darn lazy to do the necessary. Mike had the same problem with his bank and ended up having to go to the main branch and speak to the Branch Manager to get the necessary letter. All the info they need is on their system they just cant be bother typing a letter.
