Visa payment at the embassy

I am sorry if this has been discussed before, but here it is: my appointment letter arrived... and among other instructions it says I should pay a $335 + $45 Visa Fee at the embassy prior to the interview. However in the top part of the appointment letter it is written "Paid" in black ink.

Does it mean that since the IV bill was paid to the NVC, there will be no payment required?...

That'd be nice, but I am not sure that I believe it

Please advise!

Yes, you only pay the IV fee bill one time.
