Hi,

Sorry to make another thread. I am just confused as to what instructions are actually applicable to me right now. I am currently putting together the K1 Petition, and as far as I am concerned I need

1. To make sure the Cover Letter has ORIGINAL SUBMISSION on it.

2. Organize my forms with the ACCO fastener

3. Use tabs at the bottom mto ensure easy navigation.

4. Do not send original forms. (But I want to send all original signed forms right? This is talking about things like birth certificates I hope.)

5. Make sure I have several copies of all Documents I am sending in.

This is what I see as important for me seeing I am Petitioning for a K1 Visa. With all of your help, and it would be greatly appreciated, what am I missing right now? I am afraid of making mistakes with this important process.

Thanks for all the help.

Also the mailing envelope

two hole punch at the top of page if you can.

some do, I didn't

4. Do not send original forms. (But I want to send all original signed forms right? This is talking about things like birth certificates I hope.)

yes the I-129f, G-325a and letters of intent should be signed originals. the supporting evidence and documentation would be copies.

5. Make sure I have several copies of all Documents I am sending in.

1) Good idea but not an absolute requirement. Example from the example forms. http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Cover_..._for_I-129F.doc

2) 09000706.GIF

3) We did not do this.

4) Origional of I-129F, G-325A, and Letters of intent, everything else can be photocopies.

USCIS no longer routinely requires submission of original documents or "certified copies." Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications.
http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

5) Good idea in case they misplace something and send you an RFE for it. As well as handy to bring to visa interview to provide to the Counselor officer is asked for.

Well Dave, what you've mentioned looks good. I don't know if your intent was to indicate everything you were sending but if so, you didn't mention any evidence of having met your fiance in person during the past two years. I'd worry less about fasteners and tabs and more about content and accuracy.

I am so glad you mentioned that. With pictures, emails, and letters, photocopies of passport, plane tickets, bus passes, etc.. Where do I put these?

Wherever it makes sense to put them in your package, as long as it is after the I-130 and G325a(s). The service center is going reassemble you package their own way anyway.

No need to send email and letters. A few pictures is ok but the passport visa pages boarding passes, etc. are good evidence. Save most of your pictures and communication for the interview. Even then you only need logs and examples spread over your relationship. No need for a suitcase full of evidence. They'll only look at a little of it, if any, anyway.
