Hey everyone!

Just sharing more good news this morning! I sent an email to the Guatemalan Consulate yesterday asking if our case was already here and I got an email in response saying our interiew is scheduled for NOVEMBER 19, 2007 at 8.30 a.m.. :) YAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

They also sent me a link for the requirements and forms I need to have completed for the interview! I never got Package No. 3, I'm guessing the Guatemalan consulate does not send a Package 3 and I just need to bring all the documents for the interview.. that's kinda different for what I've read around here... my fiance says that it probably works different here. I'm going to call them this morning again just make sure.

The e-mail says I need to go to the Consulate to pick up my appointment letter... that is totally different don't you think? I hate it that there aren't any other couples in my consulate in VJ :(

I'll just call them to be 100% sure because this is all so new to me.

Anyway, I'm super excited!!!! :dance:

Hey everyone!

There seems to be different rules for different locations, just do as asked and all will go well.

Congratulations!

Carry the email with you telling you to go pick up the interview letter. Some embassies don't let you in without something proving what you are there for.

Thank you guys!

I just got an email in response saying that the link for the requirements is wrong! :angry: Apparently, the person who responded to my first email was not aware that K-1 visas are non-immigrant and the link was for immigrant visas!

For a moment I was afraid the information about the interview date was wrong too! I called and they said, I can go to the Consulate tomorrow to pick up the appointment letter and the interview requirements because if they send it through the regular mail it would probably take too long. I thought all the Consulates used DHL.. apparently the one here doesn't. And they also confirmed that my interview date is Nov. 19 :)

Bassi and Zainab, you're right, I'll print a copy of the email because I know they are very strict about letting people into the Embassy premises.

I'll let you know how everything goes tomorrow.
