CO-SPONSOR PROBLEM...

I have two questions:

1.) First, my fiancee is self employed but the problem is he's still cannot met the 125% poverty line.He said he just started the business and so the income is not that big.So we're getting a co-sponsor and his mom is willing to do it.Now is it ok to have a co-sponsor? I've heard that in the Philippines they don't accept a co-sponsor?

2.)Second, I wanna know if it's enough for the Affidavit of support?

Sponsor

-I-134 Affidavit of support (Signed & Notarized)

-3 Years Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years,

-W-2 forms for the last year's ITR and Recent only.

-Photo copies of past 6 months pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

-Financial records such as bank statements for the business accounts as proof of self-employment.

-Business licensed

For the Co-sponsor

-I-134 Affidavit of support (Signed & Notarized)

-3 Years Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years

-Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years

-Letter from the employer stating annual salary, including beginning date of employment, type of work performed and that is full time, and wages or salary paid provide the best evidence of current employment.

-Photo copies of past 6 months pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

-Bank statement.

Can you pls. tell me what is missing to be enough for the Affidavit of support?

It would be a big help for us to give us some advice.... :help::crying:

Thank you so much and God bless you all!

Looks good but keep in mind, from what I read Manila tends to be hard on the us of a co-sponsor, and sometimes refuses to accept a co-sponsor, the general rule for K-Visas is only one sponsor, and the sponsor should be the petitioner.

Are your fiancee's assets enough to make up the difference between 125% poverty line for 2, and income?

Assets are counted at 1/3 of income. So for example if income is short of 125% povertyline by 1000, then 3000 in assets are needed.

Only a few weeks recent paystubs are really necessary.

Your list is very good for financial evidence.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Oh that's 2 bad :-( ...Now I'm so worried. Why they won't accept co-sponsor or joint sponsor? His mom is willing to help us as a second sponsor.

I will talk to him about the assets and all. :crying:

Even tho USEM says they are not "fond" of co-sponsors. I've yet to see anyone put on AR because of using one if all the paperwork is correct.

Some people who didn't qualify financially on their own were put on AR and advised to get a co-sponsor.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Administrative Review. Again Manilla can flip flop, provide the I-134 from your fiancee, and then if they say a co-sponsor is needed you can give them the I-134 from Mom.

My fiancee said that his gross for a year in his business is $50,000 or 60,000 a year but he doesn't have a tax return...What can he possibly show to prove it? Bank statement or he really needs to get a tax return?

Did he own the business last year? Was he working last year? If either of these can be answered with a "yes" then you need a tax return - even if his tax return from last year (if he has one) doesn't show his current financial situation, you still need it.

Statement from his accountant would go a long way here, in the absence of tax returns.
