Not only that NVC does confuse me, now I am more frustrated than ever. :ranting:

Now, it has been confirmed that they can not locate the documents I already submitted them, thus they have sent me a missing information checklist in the mail. I had the chance to speak to my husband and requested to send me again the same documents. I honestly can not blame him if he was annoyed when I talked to him earlier today, since I can clearly sense that he was also frustrated by the outcome of the case and the negligence of NVC. It is indeed not easy to obtain these documents, given that the weather in the Philippines lately has not been cooperative, and not to mention the waiting time for requesting these documents from these government agencies.

Talking to NVC today, I knew I had to be calm and open-minded. On the other hand, I just hoped that they understand where I am coming from. I had to carefully explain to them that at this unfortunate circumstances, they had to be liable for misplacing the document. I had to request from them, and made them understand too that given that situation, they had to accept re-submission of my DS230 exact photocopy in 2 ways: (1) via email or (2) via Express Mail. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, at this time, since they have agreed for me to send it electronically. Hopefully, they will address this issue in a timely manner.

I am heartbroken at this time, looking at other's timelines both from present and last year's, that our family will missed out another holidays. The US Embassy in Manila, unfortunately, are no longer accepting any approved cases for this month for November interview. Thus, we'll be lucky if my husband will get a late December interview or early January interview. The latter seems to be more likely to happen.

As always, I'll keep you all posted.... as the saga continues.

Sis rina.

I really feel sad about what had happened. I hope its gonna be fixed soon. If its possible to request that your case be reviewed immediately as soon as they received your RFE response. They are liable for what had happened, thus they should take immediate action on your case. I almost had tears when i read your post about your RFE. But i think, it would be better to leave those things in the hands of God.

I also have been thinking that i might not be included in November interview coz its the last quarter of the year. Processing are getting slower. :crying:

Hello sis. I am rather numb now about the whole situation, simply because I chose to at this time. I guess, in simplest word to describe my emotions right now "I'm extremely exhausted". It does not matter how careful we may be or how well prepared you are with organizing your paperwork, something get screwed up somehow. What can I really do to make things better? Nothing really. It's a waiting game as usual. I have faith in God then, the more I have right now. :innocent:

There were more of us who have been placed in RFE, for whatever reasons NVC have, it's unfair for most of us. Our struggle and effort to be with our loved ones does not stop at NVC, we still have the consulate, etc. to deal with. My disappointment was more because of the need to be with my husband and my young son, whom I left back in May when I last visited thinking they will be home for Christmas.

It was confirmed that there are no more spots for November interview at USEM, another sad news for most of us. You know how it is with the Philippines as soon as the "BER" months enter, it just gets slower as the turtle when it comes to completing a task or work. :crying:

Rina,

You'll be fine! Maybe this delay is happening for good! Things will happen when time comes! Soon or later your case will be completed and all of this will be part of the past. I am living pretty much the same problem as you now. I have already called my wife the send me what they asking for or perhaps send it to them directly in order to save time. at this point there is nothing in our hand but to obey to their rules. Just calm down and think positively, and I am sure everything will be alright Rina!

Thanks Medieval for those caring words. (F)

By the way, regarding your police certificate that they RFE'd you on, have you asked your wife if that was the right one you sent in originally? Were you told by NVC that it was incorrect Police Certificate? You might want to double check both from your wife and NVC before you do redundant work.

It's really hard for us sis to come home for Christmas because of 2 reasons: (1) airfare is over $1200 during holidays season from US to the Philippines; (2) it's hard to be on "vacation" on holidays season unless we own the business or there are people that can cover your job position or it was planned ahead of time.

I will pray for you sis, at least we are almost there. I'm with you...:luv:

Unbelivably negligent! I hope this is an isolated incident or there is a better reason than "document lost!" As you know, if they lose the 50-year old birth certificate I submitted, that's it, there's never going to be a replacement and acceptable secondary evidence from so long ago is going to hard to make!

The rules are no more than 2 RFE's for a document (except when related to I-864). After that, I think you have a right to get a 221(g) denial at interview if you don't have the right papers by then. I'd send the photocopy of the police certificate you submitted along with a letter addressed to the adjudicator explaining that the original was sent to them as your response to this RFE. Basically, everything you spoke to the operator about, because I have a strong sense that the adjudicators are kept very separate from the operators.

So sorry to hear your bad news!

Hi

Hey Rina... and all my friends... As i had told in my thread" Stress between Couples because of NVC",.... And its turning out to be a nightmare to deal with them and handle stress... Its so much frustrating.. when you complete one step and you feel... excited that you are one step closer to your darling and hug him and be with him/ her.... and the NVC acts a villian/ghost.. and makes us apart again.... ... first they had problems encashing checks... now they have problem with DS-230.... i just hope my DS-230 which they got on Oct 1,2007... goes through well.. otherwise i dont know what will my wife do to me.... I will pray for you Rina... and I hope we all sail through.....

God bless us all...God bless America.

Jigi
