Just a suggestion....My SO and I have two skype accounts to talk online FREE...BUT I also load about 14 dollars a month and its sooo cheap for him to call ME...(sooo much more if I call him). Also, Vonage...if you set up TWO lines and send him the one set of equiptment (providing his country accepts VOIP with their DSL) you can call for FREE to each others lines..he only needs DSL...AND they have a USB thing that he cann just take to net cafe and use in USB port. Its awesome.

I never found any cards I liked. It aways seemed like there was always something rediculous about every card I tried, but you know what we did that saved us a lot of money? (after using way too many cards) I signed up with vonage here and sent the modem thing there. It worked perfectly in Jordan and in Libya and calling each other was unlimited local calls, and he could actually call the anyone in the US all he wanted, not just me. If you really need a calling card though, for some reason "Hello, Jordan" is the one my husband likes to use if he can't call the vonage numbers out there. I would guess probably any of the "hello wherever" cards are the same. Good luck finding a good one.

Hi Sand,

I just got this site from another VJ user we are calling Egypt, I am not sure what the rates are for Kuwait or Jordan, but there are several cards on this site and you can search for the best rate. Also the card Continental also provides a history of your calls. I can call Egypt for about 13 cents per minute...pretty cheap - - - good luck!

There are a few prepaid phone card to call to Jordan. I use Gold Oro and I get an hour and a half if I call my husbands cell phone or if I call his office I get three hours. It may depend on where you live. I live in New Orleans and there are plenty. Go to a convenient store or gas station and see if they sell them. If they dont see if they can order it for you. You may be able to order a few online. I hope this is helpful. Good luck.

I'm too lazy to use the cards. Normally I'm calling him while I'm driving to or from work so it's near impossible for me to call the card number, enter a code and then enter his number all while I"m trying to focus on the road. He doesn't have internet at his place either so vonage and skype are out.

I did use pingo.com for a while in the very beginning though before I got lazy. lol They had pretty good rates.

Well if you don't have internet and a msgr account and web cams to talk or head sets to use applications like Skype here is the calling card program I use:

http://www.calltoafrica.com/

It's reasonably priced but I don't know if it helps exactally with Kuwait. However, I'm putting it out there for my africa peeps. It can all be purchased online and they call to confirm your account on intial setup which takes about 15 mins. :)

I use one called "presidente" something-or-another by STI. Gives about 3 hours for 5 bucks. Get em from the local gas station.

http://www.phonecardsavenue.com/search.asp...nce&value=5

( lol: El Gato Con Botas ... the name of that card makes me want to buy it. :P )

I've had good results from them. They rate the quality of the cards ( 0-5 stars ). 4 star cards are good. 5 stars are great. Others ... don't touch. ;)

Cool site - just pick your country - press a button ... and you get a list of available cards that you can use. Buy it online & get your code instantly after payment. Now, first order *will* require that they contact you by telephone to verify. You get the full "treatment" for that first order. After that, it's easy & zero-hassle to place further orders.
