Hi everybody.

I just got back from casablanca the interview kinda sucked.I had the blond young girl, she asked alot of questions but nothing unexpected like :

name of petitionar ?

when did u met ?

how did u met ?

was she ur first online girlfriend ?

what was u doing at that site ?( Paltalk )

what does like to do for fun ?

wich bands she likes ?

where has she been living ?

why did she move ?

has she been married before ?

does she have kids ?

name and ages of the kids ?

do u talk to them ?

what do they call you ?

when did start acting romantic with ur wife ? (she meant before getting merried )

what do u do for living?

how long her first marrige last ?

and she asked me if we had a weeding and asked how many gusts were there and asked for pictures.I showed her the pictures (60 pic) she went though them quickly and she asked for emails so I gave her our emails and skype phone calls history.(she looked at them quickly too).ok till here everything is fine.

then in the end of the interview she said my wife doesn't make enough money so we have to get a cosponsor and she gave me a paper said ;

section 221(g) wich prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application doesnt comply with the provisions of the immigration and nationality act or regulations issued pursuant thereto.the following remarks apply in your case:*

please bring an I-864 affidavit of support for petitioner.also please bring an I-864 affidivat of support, supporting documents and W-2 forms, and proof of U.S citizenship or LPR status, for a cosponsor.

and she asked me to bring those papers to the reception.that's all.so what you think ? is that bad or good ?

Sounds like everything will be fine once you get a cosponsor. Congrats!

Just curious though, I'm sure you guys knew that you did not meet the requirements for the I-864. Was there any particular reason you didn't get a cosponsor *before* the interview?

I hope you know someone to use as a cosponsor!

we didn't know that,we tought she makes enough.I think there is a mistake because she has 2 jobs and I think they counted just one job.

I'm thinkong of sending them an email and ask them to make sure.

It sounds good to me as well. If you wish for them to double check their figures for the I-864 clarify all factors, and on the off-chance they still require a joint sponsor, find one!

(there have been reports on VJ of someone making just over the poverty level for her family and still required to find a joint sponsor)

much luck to you!

Congratulations :dance: It all seemed to have went well, you just need to supply them proof on the I864 that she meets the requirement or find a cosponsor.

I think you will have your visa soon after you turn in the papers. As much as it sucks, just get it done. People have been asked for things that were much harder to obtain than a co-sponsor. Sometimes once the requested documents are turned in, the visa is issued soon after. Good luck.

Would be great IF you can get a co-sponsor. It is much better to know that you are being delayed for financial issue rather than being held in limbo because your name gets caught up in AR.

But please answer me these questions:

Does your wife work?

Does she make enough to be the primary sponsor for you? She should make at least $17,112 (for you and her).

2007 POVERTY GUIDELINES*

Minimum Income Requirement for Use in Completing Form I-864

Income that is 125% Poverty Line

5 people in household - 30,162
