moving from the US during K1 process

I am thinking of moving outside of the US to live with my fiancee while we wait for the K1 process to run its course. Are there any things I need to be aware if I go this route? It would only be temporary and we'd be moving to the US once her visa is approved. Has anyone else done this?

I know I will probably need to get a cosponsor for the affidavit of support, but what if I have a job waiting for me when I get back to the US?

any info/suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks again guys 'n gals!

Just make sure you have someone checking your mail in case of an RFE (missing one could stall your file for a while). For the affidavit of support, they ask you to provide a letter from your employer with current salary, not just a promise of employment... you should look into that.

The mail thing is covered, I used my parents' address.

So how do college students get their fiancee to the US?

Can't someone else cosign the affidavit of support?

Not exactly co-sign, but co-sponsor yes. You can have a friend or a relative co-sponsor your fiancee.
