My wife and I have a joint Bangkok Bank acoount in Thailand and I want to transfer funds from my US bank into our account in Thailand. Is Bangkok Bank's Bualuang program set up to do that?

-or-

Any tips on a low fees way to do this?

2-2-07 Sent I-129F to NSC

2-6-07 NSC received USPS mail, NSC then to CSC

2-15-07 NOA1 -file received

2-16-07 check cashed

2-23-07 touched

5-4-07 NOA2 approval -email

5-13-07 sent cancellation request letter

6-7-07 we're going to retry with a K-3

8-6-07 married in Thailand (dual language, dual representation prenuptial)

8-7-07 sent K3 from Bangkok

9-10-07 I-130 NOA1, (received at CSC 8-9-07)

10-9-07 sent I-129F to CSC

11-1-07 touched I-130

requested consular processing I-130 (http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/PN_i-129f.pdf)

9-13-07 I-129F for Spouse arrived CSC via USPS return rcpt. requested

4-1-08 NOA2 for K3 (I-134 supposed to be processed but processed I-129F instead)

7-11-08 interview Bangkok, passed.

7-16-08 POE arrival, 2 hours in Seattle Customs.

AOS I-486 sent 4-4-09

AOS NOA1 4-13-09 for all; I-485, I-131, I765

RFE 4-27-09 Thai official document in lieu of original Birth Certificate not sufficient???

Infopass appointment 5-26-09 at USCIS. Officer thought our doc was valid and doesn't know why the RFE.

7-28-09 EAD and AP sent

Social Security card 8-4-09

interview 9-10-09

10 year green card expires 9-17-19, Permanent Resident Card.

Resident since 9-10-09.

I transfer money for 25 dollars per event using wire transfer process. You need bank name & routing numbers. Ask your US bank to advise or the Thai bank.

Wire transfer fees may depend on the bank you have an account in the US. my fiance gets charged for $35 to have the money wired to my account in thailand regardless of the amount you want wired. and yes, Thai banks are set up to do that.

you need the bank name, branch, and the swift code (they don't use routing number here).

Bangkok Bank is the ONLY Thai bank with a (domestic) FED routing number -- with any other bank the routing must be by international SWIFT code.

The BKK Bank Fed routing Number is: 026008691

I gave my parents a US Bank atm/visa card. You can also get them a visabuxx card too.. check with your local us bank. I load them up with money from my account. They can get cash from any ATM with PLUS sign. The fees is about 3.50 each time. Very handy :)

When my wife was in thailand, before we were married, I gave her an ATM card linked to my savings account. She could use it anywhere, and it's the cheapest way to get money over there. Easy transfers via online banking from checking to savings.

Once, an ATM ate the card. She was scared to try and get it back since it had my name on it, so I sent her another via EMS. Now, her mother has it for emergency purposes.

01/10/2007 Bought ticket to visit Pu on Valentines Day!

01/17/2007 NOA2!! via email

01/29/2007 NVC Left - Headed for Bangkok!

05/16/2007 Interview. Embassy requests passport amended. Luckily the turnaround time is two days in Bangkok.

05/21/2007 Pu returns to Embassy with new passport, visa granted. Visa issued the following day.

05/26/2007 Pu arrives in USA!

05/30/2007 Married!

06/26/2007 Overnighted AOS petition to Chicago Lockbox

06/27/2007 AOS petition delivered to Chicago lockbox, signed for by V Bustamante

The fee will be charge .. here is what I do, I have bank account here (washington mutaul) I sent the ATM card to my mom so she can cash money whenever I give her. The fee was about 4 dollars (per $500 cash). I think this is a lot cheaper and very fast.

Mar 22, 2005 : walked in Chula vista Service Center, San Diego, CA .. applied for EAD :approved

Apl 08, 2005 : finger print appointment

June 2005: Got Green Card

May 2007 : removed condition for 10 years green card.

August 2007: got 10 years by mailed (no interview!!)
