guys i am still waiting for my interview letter. My case has been at the new delhi consulate since september 10th...... my husband went and submitted the packet 3 on september 19th and nothing since then. :(

Can you call there and get answers? Are people there generally helpful?

NVC forwarded our paperwork to Lima, Peru, on Sept. 13th and by the first couple of days this month Erika had not received anything. I called the embassy and the lady was very helpful. Her response was "Your interview date is October 26th. Your wife should have received the packet in the mail by now. If she doesn't receive it by today, just tell her to come in to the embassy as soon as she can and go to window 14 to get the packet she needs. Just have her tell them your case number." I don't know if they would be that helpful, but hopefully so. Just give them a call and take it from there.

Sorry, Neel. That stinks! Every embassy/consulate is different so I can't tell you at all what the norm is for New Delhi.

In our case, my wife had moved so I knew they didn't even have the correct address to send her packet 3 to. I was sure we were going to have a tough time as a result. But we emailed them and got a response back in 10 minutes along with all the documents for packet 3.

Only thing I could suggest is try to find every way you can to contact them and check on your status. I wish you good luck, my friend.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!
