I am engaged to a man from Dromore, NI and we are putting together our K-1 packet.

I was married MANY moons ago (1987) and divorced in 1991. I have all the court documents pertaining to the divorce but on the G-325A form it is asking for his birthday. Quite frankly, I can't remember when it is. (Yes, I am old! :P ) I know the month and date but not the year. We were only married 3 years and for 2 of those we lived in separate states so there really wasn't that much communication.

Any advice on getting the birthdate of a man I haven't spoken to in over 16 years? I really don't think I want to track him down across the country and open that can of worms again for a birthdate.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks so much.

Just put as much as you know down. I know my form wasn't 100% accurate, I think my parents birthdays were a little off, but I didn't have any problems.

If you do not list the DOB of your prior spouse on the document it should be fine.

On the citizenship form (not applicable to you yet), there's another such ridiculous question >> "Name of the place where your prior spouse lives ?" Yeah right ! If people would keep track of prior spuses

For the G-325a, you could just use your best guess or question marks if you don't know this kind of information. I'm sure they'll think it's cute you remember all but the year. No worries.
