Hello everyone, does anybody knows what's the requirements for the affidavit of support if you're self employed ? Pls. help :-(.

Take a bank statement from both your personal A/c and business account stating the total deposits for the last 12 months.

Your income tax returns for last year (sometimes 3 years).

Hope your AGI is over the poverty line, else you need a co-sponsor.

Nobody can tell you for certain, you have your bases covered but the Consular officer than says you're approved.

I suggest you take it a step at a time. The I-134 comes with instructions that address the self employed. Have you read them? If so, do you have specific questions about them?

Once you understand the instruction, then put together a draft of what you have. Then you'll know if you qualify to sponsor. I recommend tax transcripts rather than returns, because it indicates what the IRS officially has on file for you as reported income, etc. Consular officers don't really suspect people of reporting too much income and paying too much in taxes for three years, just to convince them they qualify to sponsor an immigrant but anybody can write any set of numbers on a 1040 and make a copy of it.

If you can provide a bank letter or statements for a year, showing total deposits, that serves as further evidence of income and solvency. Sometimes that's pretty hard to get ahold of.

Also, include a copy of your business license with the I-134
