NBI Clearance

i'm wondering if you get a renewal of your NBI clearance for travel purposes, do you have to do fingerprinting again? cause i just got mine without my prints... and at the bottom part, it says... "not valid without dry stamp and fingerprint"

I'm so confused. Please help meeeeeeeeee....

I can only speak from our experience......my wife (K-1 at the time) got her NBI clearance and it did not have her thumb print either. Since we did not notice it till the time of the interview, I sweated it. In the end, it wasn't even questioned by the embassy. I think I read others with the same question, so I don't think its a problem.

It happened to my husband but not for the NBI, it was from Police Clearance in Quezon City. He had to go back and asked them to re-do it.

I think you need to return it and get your fingerprint on it, otherwise, it won't really be valid.

the thing is, if it's a renewal, you don't need to do fingerprinting again. It says in their website...

The fingerprinting is not valid for renewal of your clearance. That was step 5 and u need to skip it. That was advisable for those first timers. They will let u print those 10 fingers. lol I think the fingerprint this one ("not valid without dry stamp and fingerprint") pertains to is the last fingerprinting the authorized person from the NBI do after u got your release and new NBI and it was just the right thumb. Just my 2 cents.

For renewal of NBI clearance, you will not be subjected to another complete sets of finger prints (like for new applicants), but once you receive your renewed NBI clearance, you should go to the finger print section where the stamp pad is and place your finger print/thumb mark on the space provided for on that clearance/document.

NBI personels will not tell you to place your thumb mark on the document, you will be the one to do it yourself unless you ask for their assistance.

Its not a problem, just put your thumb mark on it. I experience that too, i just put my thumb mark on it. Your original thumb mark is already in their record.
