April and May Filers - NOA2 to NVC

It seems like some people have better luck than others. Our petition flew through NVC.

WE MADE IT!!!!! Cristiane had her interview yesterday. We were the first in line and the 2nd to be interviewed. We were VERY nervouse, but the lady was very pleasant and talked to me almost more than she did to Cristiane. We were celebrating back at the hotel by 11:30am!!

One bad thing is they no longer allow you to come and pick up your passport at the Embassy anymore. You must wait for the courrier service to deliver it to you

YEA!! I just got off the phone with the Dept. of State and our paperwork was received by the Tokyo Consulate and packet 3 was mailed out today to my SO!! I finally feel like we're getting somewhere!!

Glad to see things are finally moving along. My fiancee received her packet 3 and will have her medical and get her police certificate this Friday. Hopefully both our SO's will have an interview date soon!

Congratulations to everybody receiving good news this week. Hopefully we will all be done with this horrendous process soon. Of course we still have the AOS part but at least we will be with our SO's

Hey guys---update----the patient one may live another day!! I shared yesterday, an officer called me to tell me that our petition would be on its by Friday if not before and that she put an expedite on it. I asked her if it was going to sit on a pallet for a while---she said definitely not. That when it goes to the mail room it will be sent immediately. I haven't had any touches since the approval date and I had a touch yesterday, SO-----hope beyond hope they mailed it yesterday!!!! Always patient Alane & Ramzis

News flash.....My SO got packet 3 from the embassy yesterday!!! YEA!!! He can finally go to order his police certificate on Monday (in Japan you have to have paperwork from the embassy to order it) and will schedule his medical exam...I'm soo excited!!

I'd just gotten off the phone with both places. I called NVC and asked about my case and they said there is no case on file and for me to wait 2-4 weeks. Then I called USCIS and they told me to wait 60 days before I could do anything. #######!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have waited almost 7 freakin' months already and my case still haven't left California????!!!

Any suggestion???????

wait... sadely they've given you the classic run-around. It took NVC 30 some days (check my timeline) to receive our file but then just a couple to process it. It may be sitting in the mail room at Laguna Nigel or in the one in NH, or even be in transit in between, but long waiting periods between NOA2 and NVC are not uncommon...

It will come soon, and then it can work very fast.

you are right. another 90 days after that very long wait for approval. this really sucks. people who comes under VSC are the lucky ones. after approvel from VSC, it takes only days for the approavl to reach NVC. it is simply outrageus for the heavy delay in sending the paperwork to NVC.

CSC is hopeless.

Hey Musicgirl, I was fed the same line when I called a few weeks ago, the lady was really rude about it too. As soon as I heard 90 days I just hung up on her. We are jerked around bad enough during this whole process I just can't bring myself to pleasantly accept a line of utter BS like that. I'm going to try and call again tomorrow maybe I'll have better luck. Hang in there we are all getting closer!

hi mike and beth im so frustrated!!! my fiance received approval notice last Oct.16 and till now the NVC didnt receive our petition my fiance called by the way and they said it took 90 days! hello we waited 5 mons to get our approval and now we have to wait another 90 days! thats realy sucks and frustrating!!! what we are going to do are we going to call CSC? I dnt know what to do anymore waiting it really makes me sick!!!!

Congratulations U2rsobad. Looks like things are going quickly now. Good luck! My fiance had her medical yesterday and applied for her police cerficate. She also mailed packet 3 back to the embassy. Hopefully we will have an early to mid January inteview date.

You can call the RFE line. They're more likely to know where your file is at. Good luck!
