From our experiences, 1-800-375-5283 is the primary # for USCIS and they will give you the run-around or a standard message. If you use that #, try to patch through the RFE line instead. They can help you further. :)

I called called USCIS and they told me that my petition also was shipped out to the NVC. I had her check the date and she said it was shipped on Nov. 6. I sure hope it gets in and out of NVC quickly. GohaRabia, it looks like we are in the same box that was shipped to NVC.

Do you know how long it takes before NVC gets it into their system??

That's great news afterforever!! Ours took 2 days (if they worked on Saturday) after they've received it to be entered into the system. It wouldn't hurt to call NVC tomorrow. Good luck!

Mr2nice, did you receive a letter from NVC stating they had sent your petition to the embassy or did you call them?

Hi guys! Glad to see some more movement towards NVC and embassies - YAY!:dance::dance:

So, my fiance picked up Packet 3 today and turned in that first form (biographic info?? I think...) but they wouldn't schedule his interview until he got his medical exam. So, he will have that tomorrow and hopefully he will get an interview next week! Our fellow VJ filer pedsgirl's fiance has his interview this coming Tuesday, so let's wish them good luck! He is in Romania too, so we are hoping Florin's interview will be next week as well! :)

I can't believe how fast this is going now! After all this time waiting and waiting, it's almost hard to believe it's almost over :)

Good luck to everyone, and I hope to see much more good news posted here!

I'm a little paranoid about the "telephone police" -----

Personally, I beleive it is my right to call and get info, so I do not worry about their comments. Besides, I am already approved.

Yea!! It's on it's way!! She was a bit rude and said "I see you called a couple of days ago" and I said "Yes, I spoke to Officer ... and she said she'd try and get back to me. I didn't hear back, so I thought I'd call to see if it was sent out yet. She told me I could call and check the status anytime, is there a problem?" Then she put me on hold and said it was sent out on the 6th and hung up. Oh well...finally, we're on our way and don't have to deal with CSC any more!!

Go ahead and call Alane...with the long hold up for your NOA2, it would be nice if they sent yours off with ours

I believe it was sent out. But thanks for trying to burst my bubble.

I have not received a hard copy letter, however NVC sent me an email this morning to let me know that they received my case, gave me the case # and also let me know that they have completed the case from their side and any further request/inquiry should go directly to the Consulate in HCM. I think the hard copy letter should be arriving sometime this week.

Alane it would not hurt to call and find out. I agree, it would be a great bonus.

U2rsobad, I am assuming your petition is on its way also.

I am still going to be stressed until NVC confirms they got it.

Good luck
