congratulations Sau!!! :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: but I need to make a point here... don't want to take too much from your celebration.. sorry... I applied a month after you (April 13), and you already have your final visa interview approved.. that is sooooo not fair to us... just because we apply one month later, we will have to wait about a YEAR longer?? (well, maybe about half a year, but it feels like that much).. :crying: :crying: :crying: I don't even have an approval yet... we are both from the CSC... :angry: :angry: :angry:boooooooooo on them..

I-130 STAGE 1 : 533 days - 1 year 6 months (4/16/2007 to 9/22/2008)

Transferred to local office based on "security checks" : 11/27/2007
wrote hundreds of letters - received letter from FBI Records Management Chief stating no security checks
local office interview : 2/21/2008 - brought my parents too (result : you will get approval within 2-3 weeks)
5/2/2008 - (lawsuit) Writ of Mandamus - OFFICIAL DATE (7/29/2008)
9/22/2008 - CALL AND EMAIL COPY OF APPROVAL NOTICE FROM LAWYER

11/08/2007 - I129F received at NVC, embassy case number generated.

11/13/2007 - I129F forwarded to embassy.

11/18/2007 - 129F petition received at embassy

01/09/2008 - finally, DOS gives me the interview date, April 16, 2007 (ouch)

01/23/2008 - never got packet 4, emailed embassy

04/11/2008 - picked up packet 4, did medical

04/14/2008 - medical report pickup, no problems

04/16/2008 - interview date- APPROVED!!!!!

04/18/2008 - both of us are home at last, POE JFK!

05/21/2008 - sent AOS and EAD

05/27/2008 - received NOA1 for AOS and for EAD

06/02/2008 - received Biometrics appt letter

06/19/2008 - Biometrics appointment scheduled - DONE

06/19/2008 - both AOS and EAD touched because of biometrics

07/29/2008 - EAD approved.

05/13/2009 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!/ Card production ordered email

05/18/2009 - Welcome Letter received

06/12/2009 - Second card production ordered email

06/19/2009 - Approval notice send email

06/22/2009 - Green Card received

04/09/2012 - Applied for Citizenship by Express Mailing N400 to NBC

04/10/2012 - N400 received by USCIS

06/23/2012 - Biometrics appointment

Sau, You got an interview in 7 days since the consulate recieved, Thats awesome. How did you do that, what about the medical? when did you get that done?

Congratulations! I wish they were all this fast...that has to be some sort of record once you got out of CSC.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

hello all,

i dont think embassy doesnot work faster like this to all................we used a little bit of here and there, thats why it is fast..........otherwise the normal time for embassy is around and 1 month and 1/2............

hope u guys will understand what i mean.........

Lucky now you get to celebrate Dashain and Tihar together. (F) I was just chatting with mero buda and he was saying how sad we cannot celebrate the holidays together.

Best of luck in your life together - nice to see Ktm embassy works quickly, hope that will be the same for us. :)
