NOA2 via email, no letter yet, should I call?

Hello All,

We got NOA2 via email on March 16 thru the CSC. 30 business days are up as of april 28th(which is when the they told me to call if not received).

Do you think if I call now, they can give me information on if my fiance will receive her mailed NOA2? I would like to get the interview setup as soon as possible.

Do they send the notice via DHL, or snail mail?

If I was you, I'd be more concerned with finding out the status of your case with the NVC! You need to call the NVC and find out if they've received your case from the USCIS. Just use your USCIS receipt number to get the status. You don't need your NOA2 until you file for AOS, which is quite some time down the road for you.

You can't have your fiancee get an interview until her case has been received by the consulate that will handle her case, sends her her packet 3, and she returns her check-list to them!

The NVC does not add a receipt number. But they do assign a case number, which is very very important. It is that case number you will use when making any enquiries with your consulate.

Then NVC will give a case number starting with a three letter code indicating the Consulate that will process the case, the year, the day, and the number it was assigned on that day.

I'd give them a call if I were you. At least then you'll know if it's been sent out or not, and if it has been, and should have arrived, you can ask about getting a second copy sent. Hopefully if you explain it got lost in the mail, they won't charge you a fee to send you another copy!
