Go to the MTL timeline to interview and see how many people there were denied, I think you will see only one appealing out of the whole group, that makes your adds better than very good for not getting one. I say plan for a celebration because your on your way to your sweetheart.

Ron, I understand the "adds" but the wording? *hugs*

The appealing will turn into an approved as well

Done never said I was edumacated

gotta be magic changed an o to an a, now lets see if Chris Angel can do as well.

We are on our way to peace and happiness.

I think if everyone got a two day notice that would cut back on the stress, no time to worry except for what to pack. That would make life so much easier.

Almost everyone was a complete wreck. I lost 10 pounds from the time they gave me the date to the interview. I was trying desperately not to throw up in the waiting room

Yikesss yea I can see myself doing the same thing. I think I have given myself ulcers. Whenever I stress my stomach feels like it's bleeding. I blame uscis so if I am denied for having ulcers I am going to spazzz!! LOL

I'm a tiny bit worried too....

Ol made $17,850 on his last tax transcript.. he was doing something he didn't really like, wasn't working for a few months blah blah blah

but since then (Jan 2007) he started managing a restaurant in VA, makes over 30K now and is so happy doing what he does.

I am a little worried cuz he was so close to the 125% of poverty line (but still over it!!) on that transcript.. and I know that they'll look at the 2 letters he got from the Owner/President of the restaurant and his Administrative Officer that states he's working there FT, makes $$$ and so on

That's my tiny worry for the Mtl interview

Oh, and the fact that my Birth certificate looks so ghetto! It was done on a typewriter! on white paper.. no letter head or any fancy background! PLAIN WHITE PAPER..

but it does have a stamp and all that stuff on it (ie, that it's part of a registry or whatever)

maybe later I'll scan it and show you guys..

with the necessary black bars, of course B)

And don't listen to everyone else asking .. what will you do if you're denied?

I must have been asked that question numerous times and in my stress induced frenzy of trying to get my things packed and organized I would just stop and blankly stare at them and say .. that's not an option ... and then just go back to doing whatever it was that I was frenzily doing :)

NOT an option?? I wish I could have done that, I just went back to what I was doing, and trying to figure out what I'd do if I was denied....UGH.

But your right, don't listen to them!! I gave my notice at work and she still put me on for the month, "just in case your denied" she said...yep, there's a whole lot of supportive people around you!!! *rme*

Ugh. I was nearly catatonic whilst sitting in the Consulate waiting room. I thought I was going to pass out or throw up. Or both. Everyone turned out to be so nice and so friendly and so professional that I kicked myself afterwards for wasting my time and my nerves worrying about it. Those are hours I'll never get back. LOL

My advice..... you've already reviewed any reasons why you may be denied and come up empty. So.... your mindset should be "The visa has already been approved. I'm just going to pick it up." I know it's difficult not to worry about the unknown. But try. Your body will love you for it. :)

Hello,

While I also think that you have nothing to worry about in the slightest, I am like you and can't help but play the "what if" game.

Yes, most people in these forums are approved for a visa, and those who aren't usually have a legitimate reason, and can appeal the decision.

But, if you look at the bottom of this page, under "Similiar Topics", you will see that there have been some folks who were denied a K-1 visa due to insufficient proof of an ongoing relationship. This is what worries me... is this something that is subjective to each officer? Could we show up with all this proof that our relationship is legit (credit card statements while visiting, phone records, emails, photos, engagement ring), and get an officer on a bad day who decides that it's not enough?

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about, but as always never hurts to be over prepared :)

My wife and I had a horrible Consulate officer that gave us the interview, and she used some bogus reasons to deny my wife her Visa at the very beginning. It took a few extra months after that, but they basically just tell you which documentation is needed to help your case and you're set. Even with her dragging her feet and not reviewing the documentation, a few calls to my Senator got it moving slowly :)

Just go there with all your documentation and even extras, try to relax and enjoy the city :) Good luck!

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

I wasn't asked for any proof of ongoing relationship, the woman who took my papers just asked me if Jim still wanted to marry me and if I had a letter of intent. I had tons of proof, I panicked and pulled every little thing I could. For nothing, lol

Worried? Who said anything about being WORRIED?????

I am sick to my stomach (which has also lost its share of pounds mind you), and gathering even affidavits from the pets, the dude that pees in our backyard (we have so much fun with a flashing peope with a lantern on drunk-fridays -not us drinking, other folks), etc.

I am terrified at the mere hint of a denial. So I understand the OP; and we've been married for 16 months (including him doing my laundry, I cooking, Bren vaccuuming, me ranting, etc.). The only things I ain't bringin are the Lady Heather outfit and the sex tapes.

Naaaaa.... they could either be:

a- jealous and deny me on basis of "these b@stard is way too lucky"

b- disgusted and deny me on the basis of "EEEWWW"

c- seize them for bidding on e-bay.

Besides I made a poll here and peepz said NO, no sex tapes....
