Anything you know or have heard of relating to financial income, or anything of that nature that would cause an issue? I mean things like debt owed ect....

Thx

It was something that was quickly read, but could have been an attempt to get your panties in a bunch...lol

Don't get me wrong... Strong English skills is a very positive thing..... My point is simply that weak English skills may not be the negative it appears to be in other consulates....

Sorry i should clarify, i have not been earning income since jan 5th 2007. Since that date i have been living in sevastopol. I WAS pulling in 100k+ in the states before hand. I am using 2006 and 2007 bank statements, 2006 1040s and i-134. I am also using my father as a co-signer in case they are wondering about employment, but i own my own company so technically im always employed, but not earning at the moment. I have assets and a home. I hope i dont get domicile questions or questions about employment or anything like that regarding my situation. Any thoughts on that stuff????? We have more than enough proofs of relationships, just overkill in our interview binder.

Hi everyone.

Im new to this board, and was reading over some of the posts, and found them interesting. I have a woman in the Ukraine Ive know for a while now, and am going to visit her in about a month. I reside, and am a U.S citizen. I am planning on marrying this woman, and of course am trying to get the most information of success as possible for her K1 visa. Ive done a little research already, and am wondering if anyone can chime in. I was married once, but since have been divorced legally ect.. She has never been married. I have a good job that I have been with for 8 years now. Shes hasnt been working, due to the loss of a very close family member. I will be the sole provider and care giver finacially for her until she feels able to go to work, if she wants to. I would rather take care of her myself, so she doesnt have to work:) we plan on having a child in the very close future if all works out. I was going to get a consultation with a lawyer next week that specializes in this type of issue. Anyone that has some very useful suggestions, please feel free to fill in.:)

Thank You Very Much

Im not sure what the issues are. You are who has to prove supprt, her work history has nothing to do with it. you only need certified divorce decree. read the guides here. your case is simple and straight forward. standard fiance immigration.

fw?? this statement of intent to marry.....this something I type up or write out myself? dated when I do it or type it? do I need to bring this with me to Ukraine in a few weeks? or she needs to type one write one and keep her's correct? and I Keep mine here until time of filing?

Thx Again

OK, so you and this lady have never met, correct? If that is the case then the most important evidence time frame is from that meeting forward....

Several trips to visit are not required but certainly do not hurt your situation....

If you think this is a possibility (becoming your fiancee) then understand that most documents in the initial petition submission can be copies of originals except three. The I-129f petition itself (which you prepare), G-325a biographical data form (four page/part form) & the statement of intent to marry (one each from both of you). They need to be original due ot the signature reqirement. So, take several copies of the g-325a's with you for her to sign.... Also have her prepare and sign a letter if intent to marry for you to carry it back. All other documents can be scanned & e-mailed to you.

I was thinking of giving her copies in case it was a while before my next trip. I thought if she had these on hand it would be easier. I was thinking of filing after I made the first trip, so I could have copies of my trails when I returned. I was assuming that I had to make a couple of trips to make this process go a little more smoothly before filing, and her doing the part that she needs to also on her end.

Thx

Actually it is in Section 5.B. of the instructions.

Oh, well, a newer version of the instructions. Cool.

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129Finstr.pdf

By the way, you simply google I-129F, hit the first link and then download the instructions. This stuff isn't complicated.

I was curious also...#10 on the I129f form. I wasnt born in the U.S. but father was in the airforce and married mom overseas. Long strory short I have a passport and am citizen of the united states. Section 10 asks for the choice of 10. My citizenship was acquired through (check one).....Birth in the U.S. Naturalization

Give number of certificate, date and place it was issued.

Parents

Have you obtained a certificate of citizenship in your name?

Yes No

Ok so what numbers are they looking for here? Im assuming im checking Citizenship thru parents? and then checking no under Obtaining a Citizenship in my name corrrect? because I just have a visa, and birthcertificate from the U.K. where I was born.

Thx
