Thanks for your help, everyone the passport inssue. You guys are always great. Okay, I get it. I don't have to send my passport. I had thought that would be odd, that is why I asked. NOW, I have another question. WHICH originals (from all the docs. I am sending with I-129F app.) will my husband need? The reason I ask is that I am going there on Tuesday and will give him a complete copy of everything I sent but will he need any originals? I thought he needed the entire original packet I sent, not true?

Campanita, it says in the guides to give your fiance a complete copy of the I-129F packet you are sending to the USCIS. You should also give him all originals of the "proof of relationship" you sent in. When he goes for his interview, they will ask for "proof of relationship", and that is what he needs, along with any other proof you have aquired up to that date.

Hope this helps, good luck, and have a safe trip!

Robert

You really only need to send him the original I134 and supporting proof e.g. employment letter and tax returns (if needed)- rest you can send copies - for proof of relationship my fiance printed out 5 emails and 5 chat records (so no originals of anything were sent by me for that.) Good Luck

If you sent copies of anything in the original packet, they have the right to ask for the originals at the interview. So he should have the originals with him.

The best bet is to bring originals of anything you submitted as a copy in the I-129F, as well as originals of anything they require for the interview (listed on the checklist). MAKE SURE you ALSO bring copies of EVERY original that you are bringing, as they will want to see the original, then keep the copy. They will NOT make copies for you.
