hi vjs!

i just received my visa this morning. we are very much happy.

i found my passport and the envelop which is opened at one end sealed in a plastic when the delivery man gave the package to me. when i tried opened it to get my passport, i found out that the envelop is not sealed with plastic. as what i read in here, that envelop with warnings that will only be opened at the port of entry by a US immigration, is partially opened in one end. but i thought that though its opened, its also sealed in a plastic so nobody can take a peek on the documents inside. but mine was not sealed in plastic. is this really how its gonna be? we can even take a little peek on the documents inside through the opened corner of the envelop. so these documents are just placed in an envelop and not sealed? i hope i got the right package. unsure.gif

Congratulations!

Hmm, about the package, definitely don't open it if it says don't open, and ask the embassy for more information!

Congratulations on the visa. Do not open the sealed envelope. If you do you will need to take everything back to the embassy and get it resealed. The POE will not allow you entrance if that envelope appears to have been tampered with.

Good luck good.gif

Congrats and have a safe trip! The sealed envelop is inside the plastic (with your passport). The envelop is sealed but with a cut opening on one corner and yes, you can take a peek into it. It is so they know who that envelop belongs to, you can even see your ID pics attached inside. Just don't open the sealed envelop, they will open it at POE.

TOGETHER WITH MY RECENT PASSPORT AND MY 2 OLD PASSPORTS WHICH THEY TOOK AT THE INTERVIEW (HAD OTHER VISA'S IN THOSE PASSPORTS). THE BROWN ENVELOPE WITH THE DOCS HAS AN OPENING, BUT ENVELOPE ITSELF IS SEALED. PLASTIC CAN BE OPENED BECAUSE IT HAS THE PASSPORT/PASSPORTS.

HAVE A SAFE TRIP!
