I see in several timelines the actual date an applicants file is sent to Embassy. How do you find out when your file is sent/received? What is next?

The info on the NVC automated line is that our file closed this week. :dance: Do I need to wait on hearing from the Consulate regarding an interview date or does the NVC automated line get updated to let me know the file has left NVC?

Ive gotten used to keeping track of the journey via the excellent helpline and suddenly feel whaaaaaaaaaaaaare are we at now? LOL

How blessed we are to meet and fall in love

May 2005: We marry in California

June 2005: We start the visa process

July 2005: NOA1

Jan 2006: NOA2

Apr 2006: Case complete

Apr 2006: NVC send file to London

June 2006: Church blessing in London

June 2006: Medical

June 2006: Interview

June 2006: VISA!!!!! :)))

Sept 2006: Daisy age 50 and 7/12ths moves to California... whoooohooooooo!

Removal of Conditions

June 2008: Mail package to CSC

July 2008: Biometrics Appt

October 2008: 10 year green card arrives in the mail.

Citizenship

January 2010: Apply for US citizenship.

March 2010: Oath ceremony. Citizenship complete!!!!!

Yes the NVC line will tell you when the petition is sent to London , also your Husband will get a letter saying so too!!

Then to find anything out you can email London, but give em a week or so after they get the petition to actualy open it as until they open it they will tell you they didnt get it yet!! :thumbs:

April/04/2005- Visa journey began!!

We did both K3 & CR1 visa's, got both!!- I returned to England for my CR1 interview after first arriving on a K3 visa!!

May/25th 2006- Green card arrives in the mail................YAY!!

19th June 2006 I Had to go to the Social Security Office to get my number, the DS-230 didnt work for me!!

26-June-2006- Social Security# arrived in the mail....YAY!!

Feb 2008 lift conditions <<<reminder to self!!<<<< went to England for a visit instead, no rush right, 90 days is a long time,LOL

Removing Conditions Begins

Mailed I-751 April 12th 2008

signed for @ NSC April 16th

NOA date April 16th

Conditional GC expired May 5th 2008

Biometrics Detroit May 10th 2008

10 year Green card ordered August 20th 2008

Citizenship any time from feb 2009

Thanks Amanda. I will call the line again in about a week or so for an update. Once I know the file is here I am happy to leave all to the Embassy. Its just nice to know.

Really pleased to see you have your interview date. Good luck. Have fun in London and enjoy the fish and chips back home!!! Home? Does it feel like you are coming home? :))
