I was wondering if someone could clarify for me.

I know that there is a checklist and forms with Packet 3 but what exactly do you have to return to the embassy before picking up packet 4?

My fiance had to return DS-230, (part 1) only and the check list. He doesn't have to have everything complete on the check list, but just sign and say you do and he can get it all done before the interview. Remind him to make copies of everything he is going to give to the embassy, including the check list. The day my fiance went to the embassy, he had the DS-230 part 1 already filled out and ready to hand it back to them, but they said he can only return it on a specific day, which I think was a Wednesday. But they will inform him of everything. I hope you guys get a response from them soon. Best wishes, Lisa

No he doesn't need a passport to pick up packet 4! however, he will eventually need it when he gets his visa very soon! hehehe. he just needs to have some form of id. i know in ghana they use the national id card....or a driver's license, etc.

hope you guys hear from the consulate soon!

Thank you!!!

And good luck on your interview!!!

Good Luck with everything. I'm in NY and new to this site but very happy I found it. I filed in June and have a receipt date of June 22, 2007. I'm holding my breath because the waiting is often unbearable. I hope that I will hear things quickly and pray for a fast approval. Good Luck with your interview, or rather Nusah's interview. :)
