One page Declaration???

Does your declaration of how you met actually need to be a full page typed? How much in detail should one go? I am from Canada, but I met my Fiance while "Volunteering" on his film project in the U.S. for work experience. Is that a Problem? I was never paid, it was strictly for work experience as I had just gotten out of makeup school and needed the experience to join union.

Any info will help!

Thanks!

J.

It doesn't need to be detailed. You need to show how you met and when. It might help to describe any evidence that you are using to show that you have met your fiancee within the last two years.

As they say, make it short and sweet.

My fiance submitted one paragraph on a separate sheet of paper as to how we met, and detailed subsequent visits as well to back up the evidence that we had submitted (boarding passes and passport stamps).

Bee - Devon PA, USA (he's the one who gave her the shiny ring)

Some are able to include enough information in the space provided on the form. If you need more space, attach a sheet with any amount of extra information you think is needed. There is really no such thing as a "one page declaration". You are simply informing the USCIS how and when you met in person within the past two years.

We just submitted one paragraph with where we met and the date and the circumstances under which we met. It was maybe 4 lines long.

I wrote maybe 3/4 of a page. I explained that I was living in Brazil, when I returned to the U.S., my returns trips, and that we decided to get married and apply for the K1 visa.

I included dates but left out all of the lovey dovey stuff.
