What about K3 do we need CEMAR?

Alls I can say is no matter what visa you are going for get CENOMAR.

A friend of mine [K3] was on AR for 2 months while USEM did their own CENOMAR check.

He tryed submitting his ladys CENOMAR after she was put on AR and they wouldn't except it.

Just because you are married doesn't mean the pinay didn't falsify documents saying she wasn't married before when she married you. Happens as most pinay can't afford an anullment.

The filipino pre interviewer sometimes doesn't ask for it but I had my wife

[K3] hand it to them anyway.

Check out the appointment packet for IR immigrant visas.

A bit confusing who they are asking for CENOMAR! BUT they are asking!

Yeah you KNOW your wife wasn't married before but the embassy doesn't!

The CENOMAR was listed as a requirement on the previous version of the Packet 4. However, on the current version of Packet 4, the CENOMAR has been removed as a requirement for the visa interview.

 It surely is.

Whether it is required or no longer required, it is still better to acquire CENOMAR and present it to the interviewer to minimize your chances of being placed in AR, and wait few more weeks to run NSO check on you.

Hint!

You can apply for CENOMAR on the telephone and pay at the bank.

Just be SURE you give the correct spelling and information tho.

They will deliver to your house or where ever you want it delivered.

Sure beats standing in line!

It is better to apply for it online. You'll be the one who fill out the information and then they will send you an email about your order. You will then print a copy of it since the request reference number will be written on it and you will need that information in paying for your request at the bank. It will take 7 days or so for them to deliver it to the address you indicated on their online form. The good thing about requesting a copy thru eCENSUS website is you can check for the status of your request anytime you want.

Best to get BCs online or at the main office in Quezon City.

In our case we tried to get BCs at the local NSO office and the ones we got were unreadable.

You/she can call Quezon office and request BCs and pay at the bank.

Also can get online.

We did both!

last Dec, it was listed as a required document to bring to the interview. my wife was not asked for it, so it's now just a souvenir of the process.

however I agree it's a good idea to have it, just in case...
