Woooooooooooo I just got this in email

Dear Mr. X

Thank you for your email inquiry. Your case number is BNKXXXXXXX. We

received your case from NVC on March 23, 2007. We scheduled an

interview appointment for the applicant, Ms. X, on 05-OCT-2007

at 07:30 am........

It still does not make any sense to me that it took about half a year for your interview date to be scheduled !!!!!

Your lawyer must have screwed up something. If the embassy mailed out Pk4 to you on September 5th, they must have received your Pk 3 only a few weeks earlier.

I wouldn't stop your fiancee from going to the lawyers office and sticking "a forkl in him."

Anyway, i'm glad you have finally received good news on your interview date. I hope the interview goes well. i'd prepare all required documents without help from the lawyer. i wouldn't want to get screwed again. :)

Congrats on getting your interview date! It's so great to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Although I agree with ladywhite here, your lawyer must not have sent your pkt 3 in until just within the last few weeks to not have an interview until Oct 5. At this point of course there isn't anything you can do really to get it sooner, but you must just be so relieved to have that date!

Good luck on your interview preparation, and definitely take anything that lawyer says from here on in with a grain of salt. You've got this entire website as your backup resource, so anything that sounds fishy, I would deifnitely double check on here!

Thanks!

I agree this was an extra long and often frustrarting wait. Maybe my experience will help someone avoid it.

Looking back I should have:

Talked to my lawyer more often, weekly updates at least, assuming they will priioritize your petition because you paid them

is obviously not the way to go.

Started my paperwork/records/medicals early, especialy the foreign records which can be very difficult or slow to aquire.

I should have made contact with the embassy when I first suspected trouble, it might have saved a lot of anxiety and time.

All of this information is easily available here on VJ.com and people who come here have more hands on knowledge then folks

like me, who have hired a firm to handle the entire process. I first came here in 2005 and I became fairly familure with the immigration process

however I did not apply it to my own petition, I simp,y took comfort in others success stories.

At this point, I'm just going to take a breath and enjoy the successful aquisition of an interview. I will be getting a list of all documents

my lawyer has and apply what I have learned here to making sure, he has packaged everything we need prior to the interview ^^

I can't thank you guys enough for picking me up and giving me some direction. a lot of people here wont ever know they helped me get back in the game.

Thank you :)
