Guys can you help me,

Me and my fiance met in June personally and had a traditional wedding my faince went back to the states and filed the K3 visa but after meeting the lawyer he was told the wedding wasnt legal as it is not considered in the UK apart from court marriage which we didnt have.So he was advised to withdraw the K3 application and he sent them a letter saying to cancel it as it wasnt a legal marriage and not recognised by law.We were then advised too go for the K1 as we had proof of atleast meeting up.But we cant apply until we recieve the cancelation which was done in July 2007 and till today they havent cancelled it nor did we recieve the cancelation report and so we are stuck for applying for K1.

We are so tensed and confused whats next and what we should do and whats best for us.Can anyone guide us please. :help:

A wedding doesn't make you married unless the laws of the location make it so. Usually (As it varies by country or state), you have to apply for a marriage licence and get a marriage certificate for it to be considered a legal wedding. You need a legal marriage to use the K-3 route.

If you want to find out if your k-3 is canceled, you can call them with your case number and ask. They may not actually send out notification that they received your letter.
