I got my I130 approval notice stating that if i want to pursue this petition i may have to file I824.

I dont what the heck it is about? i dont need duplicate approval notice.

Could i sent a copy of what i recieved in my mail box to my spouse in home country. Or do i have to file this form along with its fee.

If yes i m pretty sure who will file and where. Like i will file or my spouse in pakistan will file this..??

Thanks in advance.

I take it you also filed an I-129F to pursue a K3 visa and that the I-129F was forwarded to NVC?

Also be aware that if you file I-824 to forward the approved I-130, it can take months for them to do it. From the members I've seen here who have filed I-824 in this case, it's taken about 6 months or more.

(Side note: have they sped up the forwarding recently?)

hi,

have you read what a i 824 is for...it 3 things and one you must tick sdo your application goes any futher....

myself/wife messed up on q 22 on the 130 so then we had to file a i 824 which i thought it was a scam of a form cas all they needed to do was change from uk/usa on q22 on the i130

double check what you put on that q22 on the i130 this can be something to do with it...if so then you hav no choice than to pay the fee and file....at the same time if you have to then this could take some time...for me it was 8/9 mths of more wait....where it should never have been in the first place...

not sure about ya status but you could also file a k3 visa and then it be a race for both forms...the ir1 is better no messing at the other side...where the k3 you have to AOS after 90days of getting into the usa...

like i said check....the uscis/ins wont go out of there way to help/speed things up.....

best wishes

nigel
