NE Service Center and being "touched"

Hi There,

I'm a bit new to this site, but am finding it incredibly useful. I've spent hours going through many pages and reading everything I can, but doing so has raised 2 questions for me:

1. I understand the Nebraska Service Center is no longer processing I-129F petitions. I know they officially changed that July 30, but I sent my application to Nebraska on July 28. The guidelines still said to send there at the time of mailing. My question is, will that create a significant delay? I still have not received my NOA1 (though I see others who sent to NE on the same day also have not).

2. What does it mean to be touched? I keep seeing this, and while it doesn't currently apply to me, I am curious and would like to know what's up just in case.

Thanks to all for the helpful advice- I don't feel so alone any more!

Jennifer

Oh, so you think you'd like to be touched, ehh?

The delay your errant mailing will cost you is a week or so. There was such a rush to beat the fee increase that USCIS is behind in data entry. The "rush" will probably cost you mere time than the mailing error.

"Touch" really doesn't carry any meaning. It just feels good. I'll let others explain it, as I'm not known as "touchy feely".
