hey wilchels,

I agree with you completly. It is making me stronger to; these days couples have egos between them , which makes them fall apart. Lets hold each others hands and see forward...... when our love is real, when our feelings are real, God is there with us..... so we will be with our spouses / wife soon.

God Bless You Alll

I guess it is stressful for everybody. The thing that is hard to understand is how the process is structured. In the whole european union if you get married than you can live with your spouse unless you do something really bad. But anyway no government thinks to have the right to keep apart what God put together so the spouse is allowed to stay in the country while the process is going. And even the fact that every foreigner is guilty unless proves to be innocent seems to be aganist the whole sense of the US. But, I guess here we cannot change the process or the legal idea behind it. But yes, it makes it really stressful on everybody. In my case I have a wife and a stepdaughter that I'm separated from and it's hard to be able only to talk to them. I'm trying to build a relationship, trying to be a good father and be part of their lives but the process seems to keep us apart for way too long... we are hoping to have our first thanksgiving together finally, hopefully it will happen!

My husband and I talk to each other literally everyday. We do talk about the whole immigration process and sometimes it does get so frustrating. However, this whole long process only makes us stronger, and the anticipation of seeing and being with each other makes it more exciting. We see this whole process as time to prepare ourselves to be with each other for the rest of our lives. Bottomline is, we don't let it control or overwhelm us. Just like everyone, we take it one day at a time. If the right time comes, then we deal with it, and if we don't then soon we know we'll be ours.

I think this is equally what VJ is for. There are so many people in your position here. I was at the end of all hope two weeks ago, and was lucky for my wife to come over and visit.

But sometimes is is best to just listen. It is good for you to talk about this.

I really wish you all speed and luck with your application. All these feelings are as unique as the individual, not one person can tell you how to cope, and sometimes not coping and putting your hands in the air and addmitting you are lost is the only solution, the only solace.

My heart is with you at this most testing time. I guess what I am trying to say is that there aren't the words to make you feel better, only the knowlege that there are people who are in the same position as you, and are ready to listen.

Hi,

I am seeeing manmy filers who were stuck in the processing stage getting a fresh life as they are near completion. We memebers have faced enough stress because our cases were delayed because hike in fees. I hope now there is no problem for all of us and future filers too. God bless us all... I can imagine the stress level... which leads to immense frustration and feeeling of hating our selves.... and cursing god .... why he is doing all this and why we have to stay away from or loved ones.... I dont know the answer of it... but i just feel.. things could be made more simpler... i mean in processing time of paperwork...... in the administrative process. .....

hello ,

My this thread has nothing to do with the legal visa process. I dont know whether i should post this in here. But i want to share my heart. Due to this long process and when it gets delayed due to unnecessary reasons... there is so much stress between me and my wife. My kids miss me a lot. they take my name all the time. I wonder what happens between other couples / relationships... I and my wife have decided not to talk about the NVC and not even take its name in our chats and conversation. It makes all of us frustrated isnt it.... I was about to break my cell phone the other day....... There is no concentration at work...... Our mind is always locating and searching our papers in our NVC offices in our own imaginations.

I wonder what others feeel.... God bless you alll & I hope the next week will bring good news for all of us who are having endless waits....Jigi

It's been such a hard situation....I took a temporary job this year (finished April 17) just to I could re-unite with my husband outside the US for a month. Then I had to come back a hustle and find a job to do the Affidavit of Support.

There are good days and bad days in the waiting process. A lot of day dreams of how our life would be here and lots of memories to reflect on...There is a heaviness of not knowing what will be that shadows everything I do.

My husband is a lot more patient than me.

This whole immigration process sucks. I imagined that maybe I would have some type of control with my life and my husband's but for the past 5 months and a half our future pretty much rests with the California Service Center. I know at this time in the process they are just doing the background checks but why in the world is it taking this long to do mine? Everyone else close to my timeframe and after have received an approval. I pay my taxes, I have no criminal history, Im military for almost six years and a US citizen. Im feeling let down by my own government. I just want them to tell me now yes you are approved and move on or no you are not approved so I can just get out of the Air Force due to Family Hardship and move on with my life with my husband. I dont care if I have to give up my US citizenship to be with my pookie. Im tired of just dealing with a bunch of stupid nonsense from power triping abusive airman and deadlines and stress. Life would be less stressful if my pookie were here. I just feel like a damn robot. Work, eat, sleep, hope, work, eat, sleep, hope, work... I just want to :crying:

Hey Tussie,

I know it really hurts... you feel like.. not living only.... When in this world.. we live by tiem lines... fast foood... and stuff./.. where internet has given us world information on our fingertips... but still the process is slow.. I guess its slow becos of lots of applications... then they want to test the patience of couples... and more or less they want to know how genuine the applications are....... I hope we get our life partners ASAP.... i wish atleast they use Express post / Overnight mail service for sending paper .... I am sure it will reduce time by 50 %

God bless

Most of the time, when things don't happen the way we wanted it to be with this whole process, we dont talk about it anymore. My husband appointed me as his agent to accept correspondence from NVC, so when I am frustrated and I get to talk to him, I try to be at my best at all times to keep our relationship off-limits to the pressures and hassles of the immigration process. Otherwise, it will put strain on our relationship.
