Marriage Certificate

I was wondering if anyone has ran into this problem. I was recently married to a very beautiful filipina and I can't wait to get her here. When she picked up the local certified Marriage certificate she noticed that the suffix "Jr" was missing from my name. On the application there wasn't a spot to fill it in but it was on my legal capacity to marry from the US embassy and also on my passport. My birth certificate has "Junior" spelled out and this is causing confusion in trying to get it changed. Is it necessary to get the Marriage certificate changed? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Joe

This is a minor issue. Mr. X Y Z, is the most important part of the equation. The Jr. piece is irrelevant, in the bigger picture. Forget about it, unless it is brought up downstream, then you can explain the error.

Yep. They may just not have a place for a suffix in a name on a marriage certificate. Other vitals shown are enough to identify you.
