NVC havent encashed 380$ fee

helllo all ,

My wife called up the bank and check whether they have encashed the payment of 380$ , but they havent encashed it yet. Another thing is the USPS has delivered my Mail on August 3 itself.... and its Aug 22 today ... so its 13 working days gone... and i think its high time ..... Shall I Calll NVC again... and see what happpens......

Do you think these guys are still reviewing the I -864. Because they havent encashed the payment yet... what can be the problem guys.... help me out..... On the other hand NVC says they havent recieved the Payment on a letter dated Aug 4, which my wife got on Aug 11. My Fee mail they got on Aug 3 but they send a letter dated Aug 4 ( their automated phone service says Aug 4) saying they havent got the fee payment. WHAT SHALL I DO ??

Shall I Send another fee payment and if yes how to do so. Shall i tell NVC people i am sending another payment if they might have lost my Mail in the office.What is the problem you all think.

My case is for India, IR\CR case and In California Service Centre.

Hello Jigi,

Just wanted to make sure that this is clear:

AOS Fee Bill($70)= I-864; IV Bill($380)= DS230

The processing/ review of your I-864 has nothing to do with your IV Bill. On the other hand, the IV Bill of $380 once received and processed will generate the DS230 letter.

I also have a question for you: Did you send in a personal check or US money order? I hope not a personal check.

I suggest to give them a call and let them know when you sent the payment in, and they should at least find out or see from their records that it was received by them. The payment is sent in to St. Louis, MO and it will be reported to or will be in the NH system after 7-10 days.

DO NOT send in another payment, not unless they asked you to (most likely, they will not ask you to anyways). From what I have seen so far, you can ask for 'special task force' to locate your payment. Speak to a live operator.

On this post, you mentioned that you sent the payment to the wrong address? Did you find out whatever happened to it? Were they able to locate it from NH office? This could be the reason why they have not processed your payment yet.

Keep on calling, every day. They'll find your check. Same thing happened to me with my AoS payment, I had sent it in before the fee bill was generated and it just hung out in NVC limbo until we called daily for a week.

i've sent a cashiers check to st louis and i'm having the same problem. i've been calling nvc n was told to wait to end of this week and shall have more information. u sent the payment to st louis which was correct as to my understanding. i'm applying for cr-1.

thanks for your replies..... My previous post where i mentioned i sent it to wrong address was my mis understanding. ... I collected more knowledge from the forum and state.gov website and found out that St louis is the right addresss

Point No.2 ..... My wife sent a money oorderand its of 380 $ ( so as to generate - ds-230)) and its 5th largest bank in USA and biggest in the state where my wife lives.

Point 3. ......... I emailed NVC 3 times stating my agony.... TODAY i emailed them a copy of USPS receipt Note where it was signed my Mr. B

Please Give your opnions what shall i do.... shall i wait for 3 more days... because today is the 14th working business day. ......

I am mad because My status is now Current( For CSC in august bulleting.... Feb 12 is the date...and my is of first weeek of Feb)

GOD HELP ME and God bless you all......

I am suffering from sleepless nights because of that.....

I suggest you do the following:

(1) If you sent your payment via USPS whether it was Priority Mail or Express mail, go to www.usps.com website, enter your tracking# and print out a Track and Label. You can see who signed to accept the package, receipt date, etc

(2) If you have the information for #1, send a certified mail addressed to Portsmouth, NH to report your concerns to them. Make sure to include the receipt from USPS, and data obtained from #1

(3) After sending your mail to them, follow-up with an email to NVC

(4) Call them everyday to track your payment

i will collapse in stress because of nvc..... my wife callled nvc... now they say ... if we dont encash ur payment in 15 days then do the stop payment of the payment sent..... and send a new one to us... what shall i do... i feel like going to helll

what shall i do now randyrina,..... shall i send new payment to st louis.. or send a letter to NVC people mentioning details of my first payment....... ..NVC SAYS >>>>>> St louis is a bank ; so they cannot contact them in any way ......

i am so mad.... i am telling you guys.. my wife has screwed something or these NVC people have misplaced my payment envelope

Jigi,

The NVC doesn't set up special task forces to find lost money, although it would be nice if they did. I joke about it in my signature. I'm so sorry to hear about them not cashing your money order yet, but it does seem like they've been really slow in cashing the IV bills. You're not the only one to wonder if your IV bill has been cashed, even after 10-14 days. I'd suggest that you call them tomorrow again and explain the situation to the operator. Be patient and kind, ask them for help and be persistent. Hopefully someone will find out more information.

We're in the same boat as you guys. I mailed off the IV Fee Bill August 2, it was delivered (signature confirmation!) August 3 (but I threw away the tracking number so now I can't prove it :( ) and now....nothing. They keep telling me to wait. I contactetd my bank and they said it hasn't been cashed yet. So I'm waiting through this friday and then I'll send them another one. I've requested a second IV fee bill cover letter from the NVC just in case. I'm hoping that it just gets deposited. I'll cry out of joy if it does. It'll be a nice change.

Btw, what bank did you use? I used Bank of America. It'd be interesting to see if there were a connection there

Ok, let's try to figure this out and you decide if whatever suggestions I personally have for you is the best course of action. I'm sure some of the VJ can help you decide on this one too.

Here's my question for you:

Do you have the name of the person that you talked to? the time that you called?

If you have that information, then you make sure that when you send in another $380 money order, you enclose a letter stating why you are re-sending the fee and the name of the person and time that you talked to at NVC line. Also, see if they have some kind of reference # that you can obtain from them for you to do this (stop payment of the previous money order send and re-send of payment)

Since you are sending another payment, make sure that you document every single time you contact them to follow-up on the second one until they receive and process the check successfully.

National City Bank here from my side....... Guys why is california service centre this way..... are all cali service centre people goen for holidays or to hollywood.....
