Fresh Timmy Ho's! :D

Sorry, that just cracked me up! LOL

Have you never heard it called that? I always thought it was common slang! Maybe it's a Mississauga Ontario thing?

I lived in Mississauga for a while and I never heard it called that.

I miss Laura Secord chocolate. I was going to order some from Canadian Favourites for Easter, but its already hot summer weather here and I couldn't afford to pay for priority shipping so that the chocolate wouldn't melt. I also thought of getting some Kinder Eggs, but didn't want them to melt. That's no fun. I may be able to go home in July tho, so will stock up then.

I'll just have to make do with whatever imports I can find at Big Lots. They sometimes have Canadian stuff there.

The FDA ban on Kinder Eggs is because they don't figure kids are smart enough to know not to eat the plastic toys inside :P

Cadbury's chocolate in the US is licensed by Hershey's, and is the same recipe as their standard Hershey's chocolate, nothing even remotely like Cadbury's UK or Canadian chocolate. Imports can sometimes be found at holidays in specialty stores. Check the label. I saw some in Staples at Christmastime.

yep, what we call Rockets in Canada are called Smarties here in the US.

I think some of the border states have Ketchup chips, but I don't know which brand. I looked last week while I was up in Wisconsin but didn't see any. I don't like ketchup chips tho, I was just curious because I think it was someone I know in Maine or Vermont said they have ketchup chips.

LOL on the smarties. Reminded me of a friend who argued with a guy that there were no smarties in the states. went on for months. never thought of looking for that or the ketchup chips. One thing I hate that they don't have: Taco bell, combo #4 of 2 chili cheese buritos, fries and drink. At least not in connecticut. (only thing i ever buy there) I didn't even see fries on the menu there. same with KFC, fries not standard. Don't even get me started on the traffic lights! sooo weird. Canada is much better. i don't think i could drive when i move. Tried to explain it but people never get it. My fiance thinks my traffic lights are weird. maybe just a connecticut thing again.

sadly i will still be here for easter.

Must be a London Ontario slang than too. I have heard it called that a lot.

mmm.... my mom sent me a big box of laura secord for easter a few weeks ago - got some solid chocolate eggs, and a big bag of the mini-cream filled ones. SO delicious. I don't know how she managed to ship during theone week that wouldn't have melted them all into one big gooey mess!

My husband said they were the best chocolates he had ever had and I've been ordered to get some more during my trip home in May!

We have Ketchup chips in our local WalMart and I live in the smalles podunk southern town where I couldn't even find butternut squash in the winter!!!
