Sending in the I-864 and DS-230 together?

Since both the I-864 and the DS-230 are both to be sent to NVC ATTN: CMR Portsmouth, NH and represent the last step of the two tracks, can they be sent there together in the same envelope? If so, will they then be reviewed together? Besides absolutely avoiding the weird NVC "documents missing" message if I-864 review is completed early, do we think doing it this way would save time or make the process take longer?

No, and the only reason for that is because they will both be generated at different times. And the amount of time between the two is pretty significant. the I-864 is usually generated around the same time the IV bill is, so I wouldn't hold on to it only to send it back along with the DS-230, that may delay the process.

For sure you are not going to save any time... and what if you got an RFE on your I-864 for whatever reason. Do you want to save a couple of bucks for the overnight mail? Send it asap and don't worry about the message... only my opinion

Why are there several weeks, do we contemplate, between NVC receiving IV fee payment and it generating the DS230?

I was under the impression it would happen the next week or two, but I see what you mean in your timeline that it seems to take a few weeks.

It takes time for the payment to get to them, then for them to process it and enter it into their system, then they take their sweet old time generating the DS-230 and THEN they finally mail it a few days later.
