Visa Journey adjusts based on what members put in their timelines, not by what the USCIS states. The USCIS stated that my I-130 would process in 990-999 days. VJ projected sometime in April. It was approved last week. Obviously VJ was more accurate. As for the change in processing time. My I-129F stated 60-90 days but took 137. The RFE only had it out of processing time for 2 weeks yet we were way over the 90 days. I think that adjustment is so that the processing time is more accurate with what they are actually doing. Again since VJ does their projections based on the members timelines, this change does not invalidate those projections.

they changed mine too, so i guess they did it with everyone..

but even like that people have been getting theirs in the 60-90 days average, so i am assuming they changed dates so that people dont start bugging them and asking them about why its not there yet -at least in some cases people have to start bugging them by the day 60-

i just hope they speed up.. and dont slow down cos they changed the dates..

:(

According to Phoenix Processing office they will take 5 months to process, lets see if they keep their "promised schedule".. (hahaha yeah right)

08/02/2010 ... Send the paperwork to Phoenix, AZ

08/04/2010 ... Paperwork received at 9am

08/06/2010 ... Check cashed

08/10/2010 ... Touched

08/12/2010 ... NOA arrived (notice date: 08/06/2010; mailed on 08/09/2010)

09/04/2010 ... email: RFE sent on 09/03/2010 (biometrics?? hopefully waiting!)

09/08/2010 ... Touched. BIOMETRICS CAME TODAY! (notice date/mailed on: 09/03/2010; biometrics for 09/22/2010 at 11 a.m.)

.......................... Interview notice date: Oct 1, 2010

11/03/2010 ... Interview 11 am!! (PASSED!!!!)

12/30/2010 ... Oath notice (dated 12/22/2010, mailed on 12/29/2010) for 01/20/2011 at 8am!! FINALLY!!!!

Well put Meddykomp! However, you forgot to mention that in order for VJ projections to remain as close to a best guess as possible... PEOPLE NEED TO ENTER IN THEIR TIMELINE INFORMATION!!!

There are far too many recent members who have not entered their timeline information. I wish there was a way to encourage these people to do so. It only benefits us all.

Nebraska did that back in January as well. When I submitted mine, it said "from 30-60 days." When it got to 60 days since my submission, they changed it to "60-90 days." In the end, it took something like 88 days from initial submission to NOA2 for us.

At the same time, there were people who were getting their NOA2 from Nebraska less than 14 days after initial submission. There were plenty of people who submitted a couple months after we did that got their NOA2 before us. It's supremely frustrating.

Hear, hear! There are a lot of "abandoned" timelines in there, where people entered their initial information, but then just forgot about it.

No, that was just our case. What I was trying to get across is that the numbers that USCIS posts mean NOTHING. It could be more, it could be less. You're better off using the timeline numbers shown here on Visa Journey, they're a much better idea of what is actually happening.

Of course, they're only accurate as long as people keep entering their timeline data!!!

And there will always be exceptions. I saw people on here who had their NOA2's take almost a year - with no explanation as to the delay. It's USCIS, the rule is: It takes as long as it takes. :)
