If your stuff is going with you when you cross, you don't have to list everything but you should to make life easier for CBP if they ask (it's less likely they'll rummage through your stuff if you're prepared with a list).

The list doesn't have to be complex, just break it down to things like:

- clothes, approximate value

- books, approximate value

- CDs, approximate value

How do you determine the approx value of things like clothes, or books, photo albums. Is it ok to put that some things don't have a value?

Is there a website or something that gives examples on how to fill out the moving form that accompanies our stuff?

I just made a table (microsoft word) and had heading like: item, seriel #, and approx value. I didnt list every single itwem by itself, but grouped them together and estimated price!! I had a u-haul truck full of stuff and I had about 4 or 5 pages of items!! I could have shrank it down, but I figured if I have a truck full of inventory I should at least have a few pages for inventory,lol. Customs never did look in my truck!! He was more interested in his computer solitaire game!!

Just estimate to the best of your ability what the value of items are. You don't have to be exact and chances are that CBP aren't even going to look at the list. I didn't really pay that much attention to values and just put down random values for things like books, cds, etc.
