this is kind of a strange question but it has been on my mind.has anyone come across a problem with their fiancee work when applying for a k1 visa? i ask cuz my fiance has what some may consider a questionable job.she is an internet cam model for an adult website.it is all perfectly legal from what i understand i was just wondering if they may see this as some kind of red flag in the process?thanks

If you describe it that way, they might. A company or agency name and title of simply "Model" or "Fashion Model" might pass muster, assuming she does model "fashion" of some kind.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

I don't think it has any effect at all. They don't make judgements based on their own personal ethics. That in itself is not ethical. Red flags are from criminal issues, and such.. not getting naked on a website. I've known a few ladies to have successfully become permanent resident while doing nude work. In fact, I don't think it even came up.

Not true. If you come from an Asia country and had anything at all to do with adult entertainment, working in a bar, nude modeling, etc. they will refuse your visa. I have a friend who is an Immigration Attorney living in Thailand and he said it is absolutely a reason for the visa to be denied. Actually, the K-1 visa process is all about ethics. That's why they check your family, your previous jobs, name changes, past marriages/children, etc. It's your visa, so make a good decision.

u dont have to tell them her job,, keep it secret;)

Preaching "dishonesty" before this couple even apply? The majority here will tell you it's not a good way to start. Nor a good practice anywhere inbetween this process.

yeash i agree i dont want to start this being dishonest that is why i asked neither one of us has a problem with revealing her job i just didnt know if they might have a problem with it maybe judge her character or ethics.she will no longer be doing it once i can bring her here with me her family is very poor could not afford college or more education to get another job and this was only way she knew to support herself.

Its really hard to say for sure if it will affect you. If you are going through a high fraud post, they may take a much closer look at something like this, but it may not be an issue in other countries. Don't lie about what she did for work. But you may be able to avoid extra scrutiny with the right wording.

So, How long has she been involved in Internet Marketing? Affiliate Internet Marketing where you make a percentage of the pay is a respected and acceptable job.

And if I read your post right, she is marketing on the internet, and receiving a percentage of the pay.. sounds like Internet Marketing to me.

Why do you have to define it to the specifics of what she's marketing?

Relax, be general in your answer, I'm sure you'll be fine.

If it's going to be, it's up to me!

Kitzz, are you aware that each form has a section that says "Penalties: Severe penalties are provided by law for knowingly and willfully falsifying or concealing a material fact."

Please don't tell people to "keep it secret" when the result could be a denial based on misrepresentation.

To the OP, best to follow the smart advice of some here who suggest you use the right wording i.e. "model".

Something about your other posts does not lead me to believe that you should be giving immigration advice.
