turns out I cant drink as I used to..heh I've felt horrible all day! Ugh!!

The shenanigans were scene right through, he knew what I was up to lol! I cant fool him!

I woke up in time and turned on the tv right when the video for Circus premiered... Britney overload for me lately, heh!

And I did not remember posting that post about the secret room, and the $200 Southwest Airlines Gift.

Pepernotens were put off for a bit, but they're being done tonight!

Good morning everyone! Beautiful day here. Thanks for the coffee charles! Other than the American one being larger, how is the Tim's different? I'm confused. :hehe: But it is only 6 a.m. here, so maybe that's an issue as well. I at least know the Timbits are Canadian as the package is in French. Have a ton of stuff to do today, so I'll be busy! Enjoy your day everyone!

:( Yikes, E. Take care of those things.

I get what Charles was trying to say, Carla. A Canadian goes to an American Tim Horton's and asks for what looks like a medium...and he gets what appears to be a large. But, it's not. It's a medium. Everything is bigger in the US

Morning yall. My dog ate my phone on the weekend so I currently am void of all contact with the world. Hopefully my new one will come in today after I had to file a claim. I drove to Reading, PA last night to watch my brother play hockey. It was good to see him.

Other than that, I'm stuck here at work and I don't want to be. Wednesday is moving day!!! All I can think about is that.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

My Husband and I opened a bank account with the TD before he had legal status, in fact before he had even entered the country and we weren't married yet (he was in Canada, left and went back to Australia to get a work visa and then came back like 5 months later).

I just went in to the branch and opened a joint account with him, no problem.

Anyhoo, good morning all, bit nippy here this morning (like 10 degrees).

So my Brother in Law is ok with Hawaii so far, he has just been working, of course, so it's not like he is out sipping drinks under a coconut tree

Oh, when he got there last week the guy who owns the place (with his brother) takes him out to dinner, after picking him up from the airport. He tells him that he has just lost 2 drillers. One of them they fired just before thanksgiving and one of them - was involved in a murder suicide! So the guy doesn't show up for work for like 2 days, the drilling co guy goes over to his house to see if everything is ok - well it's not because he finds the husband and wife!

American Tim Hortons DO NOT have a XL tim hortons HOT coffee!! The USA large is the same Canadas XL!! When i first went to a Tim hortons in RI, I asked for a XL coffee triple cream! Out she comes with this huge white styrofoam cup with COLD coffee!! lol I rarely even goto Tims in RI anymore, 99.9% I come out disappointed as it doesn't taste the same. I have tried a few RI stores, and another Tims in another State, doesnt taste the same!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

On a side note - (I don't eat doughnuts very often, I would like to though!)

I have had maybe 1 doughnut since I have been here, but anyhoo, I saw these doughnut holes at Albertson's a few weeks ago and I bought them. They tasted really weird - like...oil maybe? Can someone reassure me that this was just a bad Albertson's doughnut and that they don't all taste like that here

Good day every one.

Poor poor Japanese girl. Hmmmm...what will happen?

Xtinab (sp?) yes drinking a lot is way over-rated. One martini and the dance floor.

That is about my limit. My sweetie's work Xmas dinner/party on Friday night was at a museum. Very swanky, very cool, very fun.

Great food, good food, great people, awesome band.

I love to dance!

Timmies coffee...yes everything is bigger in the U.S.

Hahahaha!

I talk about "supersize" thingies to my partner all the time.

I ask him, "Why eat more of something? Eat less and eat quality. You really only need one decadent chocolate...when it's good it's good...it's all you can handle."

Greece has gone nuts.

I worry about the mother country (even though I was not born there).

The passion.

Their fights for freedoms.

It gets so violent.

sigh

I hope your move goes smoothly TheTreble.

Wow, what a story Trailmix.

Is your brother shaken up by that strange news?

And one more thing for now:

no one helped me!!!!!!!!!!!

Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

:crying: :crying: :crying:

snif snif

Okay okay i read in that specific thread and I read the guides and I downloaded and looked at the form.

It seems like nothing from the old K1 and AOS files will be needed anymore...

New evidence needs to be collected and saved...

Ok that made me laugh.

Actually he has requested to work weekends, so he is, he gets bored - drilling at Kona right now and probably will be there until he heads back for nebbie in a couple of weeks. Yeah Carla, it didn't seem to freak him out at all really, he just took it in his stride.
