You'll be fine, I think you have up to two years to file after marriage. Or is one? Regardless its only been 6 months so you'll be fine. :)

There's no set limit for this, But i've read the USCIS does take it into consideration (i.e. if you waited <5 years...).

I see you mailed it today... We're jealous. We've been collecting the AOS paperwork for weeks... I just want to send it!

So.. you know when you're a kid and you hope to find a secret room in your house??? We'll we've found a "secret room" in our apartment!

Not really a secret but its brand new and we didn't know it was there before!

You see in our room is a fairly large walk in closet and theres two trap doors to what we thought would be a storage space or a crawl space. So today as we unpacked our tree, Mike decided to check out these spots for some storage space. The first door was a "no" it had a water heater in it or something weird. The second door... basically an attic we never knew we had, a room you could literally crawl up into, and walk around in! We were just floored by it! We're gonna buy some batteries for our flashlights and go pick up a ladder tomorrow and go up there again.

Thanks guys! I was pretty sure it would be fine, but I was a little worried!

Hey Mary....it's hard to get all the documents together sometimes. It will be nice when it's all over and done with though huh? I hope that you get everything together soon and it goes well!

Well, we got back last night from 5 days visiting Joe's family in Texas. Had the best flights there and back we have ever had, and on the return trip the head stewardess was a riot! She was really funny. I don't remember all she said, but as an example she said: "Please remember to take all of our valuables with you - passports, cell phones, computers, but don't worry, if you forget and leave them here you will have a chance to bid on them tomorrow to get them back at www. delta/leftbehindarticles/airstewardsretirementfund.com. She had no problem with people not listening to her, got all of the information out and then some. We arrived early and she said: Delta drink $4, Delta cocktail $7, arriving 18 minutes early to our destination - priceless!".

Anyway, we had a good visit and are back at home getting ready for Christmas now. The cats were really happy to see us and all 5 of them slept with us last night and are still hanging around me today:-).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I don't know why it's so hard to get that paperwork together. It seemed to take forever. I arrived in July and didn't file until October. Every time I look at that I wonder how it took me so long to do it! LOL. It's good to know it's not just me!
