I got some good news today. The visa assitant at the consulate in Bermuda emailed to say that she got my submission and everything necessary is there. I had asked her what sort of evidence of continuing relationship I should bring with me and she told me to just bring my passport. Apparently the fact that both Phil and I have emailed and called her about a dozen times with questions has convinced them we're legit. She even rescheduled my appointment for a day earlier because they had a cancellation and she knows we are in a hurry. We want to get the visa so we have time to get AP to go to Dad's wedding in May.

Of course I'm paranoid so I'll bring some pictures and emailed just in case.

 I have one too! I dug my nail into it today on the way to work because it was bothering me. It's fine now. I get them from time to time in my ears. I clean my ears every day so I'm not sure what it is but...who knows.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Have you been out in the cold wind without a hat? I have had little bits of frostbite manifest like that and now make sure my ears are always covered if the wind is cold - even if it feels warm outside.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
