Well it can't just be any station wagon, beaver panel is that fake wood paneling you see on the sides of old station wagons.

Whenever we'd see them we'd punch someone in the arm and yell: "BEAVER PANEL!"

Its not so common to see beaver panels these days since beaver panels on station wagons have become obsolete, but you still see them once in a blue moon.

Donne moi une poptart!

One of my brothers just bought a newer style "wagon" and between the 4 of us other siblings, we totally harped on him for buying a station wagon and were asking him when he was getting the beaver panels put on. Man, he hated us for that! The Beaver Panels game to me was the Canadian version of "Punch Buggy (Color) No Punch Backs!" lol!

Here's betsy, our new tv. We named her Betsy. :D

Betsy is supah fly!

Pardon my mirrored image, I took the photo with my macbook because our camera is broken.

I was going to recommend a Samsung, but I see you already took my advice without me giving it. lol!

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Good morning!

Thanks for the link last week charles on the guy from Missouri on the flight from St. Louis. Not much further information on my end, except to say that he (my daughter's boyfriend) was belligerent on the flight, intoxicated, and for whatever reason, the flight attendants were trying to physically hold him in his seat when he was getting "wilder". No physical altercation. They did put him in first the last seat of the plane apparently, but he just was belligerent to other passengers going to the bathroom, then they moved him back to the flight attendant seats I guess. The FBI was notified, and arrested him upon landing. No phone call...nothing. Maybe that's only a right in the movies? Anyway, as part of his release, he has to attend AA, and take an Anger Management program. Nothing but good can come out of this I think. He has to go back to court early next year. Apparently the DA said if he complied with the prescribed conditions they'd reduce his offence to a misdemeanor. I told my daughter to have her boyfriend insist that if he follows the prescibed treatment and is successful, that he ask for the charges to be dropped.

As far as her breaking off with him, she's not going to do that. She's too much like her mother in that regard, and I'm glad for it quite frankly. While this shouldn't have happened, sh$t happens, and you don't bail when people don't behave like you'd like them all the time. Again, I hope something good can come out of this. He's young, and he didn't hurt anyone but himself. Everyone deserves another chance. This isn't about him as a person, this is about disrespectful behaviour. Seperate the two I say.

Awe Carla.. that sounds like quite the ordeal.. and I agree.. good can come of this, and his character will stretch in this too... hopefully this will be a great opportunity for him to take responsibility for his actions and learn acceptable behavior.

*sigh.. is the weekend really over? bah..

The weekend is OVER :( Monday blues any one?

Carla- Well I hope the charges get dropped in the end. It is good your daughter is sticking by him unless he has serious issues that will harm her in the future.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

good morning everyone, ty for the coffee, carla. hey what's with the chipped coffee cup, ain't we special enough for the good stuff anymore? :crying:

comparing the events you described with your daughter's boyfriend and that with the story i posted, there's a huge difference in the punishments. i do hope the boyfriend completes all the requirements and does not get hit with a surprise later on like the doctor in the story.

Ugh.. I need some wording all :)

Have to place an ad in my PEI hometown paper re: my mother's 60th party next weekend. She's had 3 last names in her life time - her married name, my father's last name (for 25 years until he died 14 years ago), and her new married name.. Do I need to post all 3?

Should it be: Mama "Current last name", formally "my father's last name" (nee maiden name)? Is that just over kill? I'm worried about seriously older friends who may not know her current married name..

:help:

I think what you suggested is a good idea. People do that in obituaries, so why not in birthday announcements?
