So glad you found your jewellery, Trailmix. I hate when that happens. (And it seems to happen more and more lately. :o:lol: )

Finally, it's Friday! Here's morning coffee. Seems like if I only get on VJ in the morning there is so much happening during the day! Good luck on buying a house, good luck in unpacking one, glad you're not pregnant, sorry you feel unwell, have fun in Brazil! *said all in one breath*! *gasp*

 Think I'll have to try and log on more than once a day eh?

 That's how I feel whenever I've been gone too long.

I've been asked to attend a conference in Indianapolis Indiana next week with my volunteer work. A national conference. I'm so excited! The Director said I'll be a wonderful representative of the organization. That made me smile. :) Gene is going to take a few days off of work and go with me since my expenses are covered. We're going to stay an extra day as well. Any Canadian VJ'ers in Indianapolis?

Oh, that's awesome, Carla. You know, just the other day I was thinking "I hope Carla is appreciated and compensated in some way for her volunteer work." I had no idea you'd get a trip. Anybody else need me to put in a good word? :hehe:

Aw, now, see? I want a garden like that now. :crying:

Trailmix I am so glad you found your jewelry and camera. And what does being an ex-marine have to do with anything? I have waiting on the phone for stuff. With our cable company, comcast, there are times where I have been on the phone for an hour or two waiting and speaking to a million different people. I'd really like to get satellite in the hopes I would be able to get CBC.

I'm so glad it's friday today but bummed that I am at work. My flight for toronto leaves at 8:30 tonight although I doubt it will actually leave at that time. Stupid east coast airports!

Grrrrrrr. That's one thing I hate about calling anyone here. It seems like you're always on hold for something. Have a great flight, Treble! That's so exciting!

Later in the conversation I said to him - as an ex-marine you understand the need to use a little common sense in these situations.

Hubby's working Sat am again.. *sigh.. but other than that we have the weekend together. The poor guy.. he works too much :(

My husband works too much, also. In fact, everyone works too much here. No wonder they're always getting in fights.

Hurray for dishwashers!

krikit did you see the gross story in the newspaper yesterday about the 'fish' pedicures?? Do you guys think this is gross?

I'm sitting with my feet poised above a bowl swarming with hungry fish.

I'm told they are harmless garra rufa fish, toothless and gentle.

But I'm thinking piranha.

I'm thinking wading into the ocean when the water is murky, and stepping on something slithery.

Are fish pedicures safe? I'm not so sure I want these garra rufas nibbling on my toes. But that is why I'm here at The Spa in Orlando's Ivanhoe Village. link

lil ones too? I like those big, fat gold fish some people get for larger tanks. There is a restaurant around here that has a massive fish tank and they have all kinds of MASSIVE fish. I could stare at them all day. They have amazing faces. It's amazing.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Do you mean koi fish?

I love tanks and aquariums and watching fish swim but I don't like fish being near me. I have issues with going into the ocean and lakes because I am afraid of sharing water with fish. Yea I'm an odd one. I mean I'll go into the ocean but during the whole time I'm desperately trying to keep my mind off of the fish that could be near by.

That's what I do! But in the ocean I worry more about sharks than fish.

Fish don't bother me, but sharks and jellyfish do

I have wanted to try that for a while now! I would be fine with my feet- but some places have tubs to put your whole body in. That I don't think I would do. They say it is amazing for people who have skin disorders such as eczema.

And- The guy who read the meter in the backyard just saw me buck naked! I was in the living room trying on a bodysuit I just bought and he walked right by the glass patio doors. Cooper started barking at something and I looked outside and there he was- and there I was- naked. Oh my.
