Just finished breakfast, drinking my tea (thanks for the coffee though) and reading VJ! Lawn is still too wet to mow but we will be outside roto-tilling the terrace garden so I can get the peppers and vine type crops in (tomato, cucumber, zucchini, cantaloupe, watermelon, etc.) Overcast here and on and off rain called for - a perfect day to be lazy, rats! heheheh.

You watched a lizard - I watched a bunny and the birds. The indigo buntings are back. 72 degrees right now. Good morning!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Doing the VA online driving course...

sigh

u get a speeding tickwet or something?

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Well, Southwest has a seat sale to Buffalo at the moment, and I have some airmiles to use, so I think I'm going to book a flight home for Mother's Day. $84 for a round trip ticket home sounds like a good Mother's Day present to me. :)

I just tried..

My trip came to $194 for roundtrip Baltimore to Buffalo..

You have to download their DING Program to get the daily specials. They don't show them on the regular site.

All booked. I had to do a mad scramble to arrange transportation, though, because the seat sale is only on for another half hour. Called my parents and husband twice (he's at work), then called my daughter's landline, then her cell. Found her at my cousin's birthday party, so I ended up speaking to everybody there. Had to get them off the phone so I could book before the deadline. Good times.

haha, that sounds like fun!

So you are off to Canada next month....wooo hoooo! Just got off the phone with my Mom, had sent her some pictures I took in Nebbie and a couple from here, she enjoyed them.

We are going to go grocery shopping this evening, it's a tad warmish outside for me to be venturing out in today, so will wait for it to cool down a bit.

Good Morning! :) I'm back. Well, at least for today. I'm off again for 2 days to Columbia MO for a training conference for my volunteer work. Should be fun! Had a lovely vacation with my folks! No excitement for me crossing the border, but more than a few tense moments for Gene when we realized the second morning of our drive just before heading out from Lansing to the border that Gene left his passport at home! :o No BC either. A wonderful lady at the crossing let us through though after a friendly conversation (ie. interrogation). Phew...we didn't think we'd get through, and I'll tell you...there were tears of joy when she let us through...

I've only a little time this morning to catch up before I have to head out, so if I missed anything, I'll pick up where I left off on Wednesday. Have a wonderful day!
