I was paying a dog walker $22 in VA for a 30 minute walk!! Im in the wrong line of work!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

On another note, I just received the most racist email from this girl I used to go to highschool with (about Obama) - we exchanged emails once and she has me on her stupid fwd list.

I have just composed a scathing reply - I'm furious.

I have just composed a scathing reply - I'm furious.

I work for a private college, and the PROFESSORS were exchanging one of those in a large bulk forward to all the people in the college... I was TOTALLY taken aback.. it was completely scathing and unprofessional, not to mention completely FALSE.. Oh me nerves..

Any idea how far driving time that would be to Atlanta? WE are thinking 8-9 hrs.. (depending on the darn snowbirds clogging up the road).

Holy #######. $44 an hour to walk a dog? :blink: Suddenly it all becomes clear to me why the man down the street keeps walking Liz Taylor's dogs. He's not trying to get into her pants..... he's trying to get rich!!! (She's really not Elizabeth Taylor. We just call her that because she looks like her and is always dressed to the nines..... with matching hair and fancy house.)

My mom heard on the radio yesterday that he started out muslim (nothing wrong with that) then joined an all black separatist "white hate" church in Chicago when he was 20. That turned me off to him for good. (not that I was ever gonna vote for him anyway, I'm backing Romney and Ron Paul.)
