Waiting for a NOA2 from CSC for your I-129F?

Congrats to Karen & Daniel, May filers who received NOA2 yesterday. Give them a big "zomg it's about freaking time" round of applause!

Oh, and here's the note from their timeline: "Took more than 7 months for CSC to send us an RFE for missing to fill in a N.A. besides the None under Family Name of Husband/Wife in form G325A of beneficiary." :(

Glad you're approved now, things should start moving a lot faster for you now.

Yeah huge gratzies guys!! That is an obscene amount of time to be waiting around for! Am so glad you can finally move on with things - you're an inspiration to others who have been waiting so long - if we can get through this we can get through anything!

Wow, that's just ridiculous. I have read and been told by the uscis (rfe people) that the petitioner and beneficiary undergo name check/security check/background checks BEFORE the file is adjucated so that would explain waiting 7 months just to be told to fill in a blank with n/a. It's a messed up process.

I called again yesterday since the officer I spoke to Tuesday never called back like she said she would (oh yeah you're all nice when i'm on the phone and then probably threw my number in the garbage  ). The guy I got yesterday said "wait a minute, didn't you just call yesterday?" Me thinks to myself: "Wow, so you DO keep records of some kind organized and at your fingertips? Impressive." and explained how I called Tuesday to check on my file because in December I was told I could check back again in January.

I got the same answer that it's in name checks...no idea how long it's been there...no idea how much longer it'll be there...you can check back every 30-60 days, thank you. Umm WHAT???!!!

This is so crazy. I have never been arrested, have no traffic violations even, nothing. My fiance's record is just as spotless. I don't understand this. I'm so scared that they have me mixed up with someone else who DOES have a record or something.

CBR - I am sooo sorry they are still being a-holes. I logged on this morning (PST hehe!!) hoping that one of the 5 pms was yours saying to update you on the spreadshee but no luck :( Am keeping you in my thoughts as you defo deserve your turn now - keep strong and know that whatever happens, things have a way of working out if they are meant to :)

regrading the RFE trick. how soon in the process should that be done? we have only filed in late DEC 07 and it has sat since the check was cashed on 3 Jan 08?

I wouldn't even consider it until you start seeing other December filers start receiving approvals. It's way too early to be calling right now.

Agreed - Even before the huge July backlog they were quoting a 90 day turnaround before you should consider calling. On VJ they suggest that if it gets to ten days after your projected approval date shown at the bottom of your timeline then you should try calling then as well. Keep the faith - you will get there soon - things seem to (tentatively) be picking up :)

Congratulations to Watcharee & Thomas, September CSC filers approved today!

This is an extra special approval, best of luck to you both!

Gratzies guys - am glad to see that CSC does get things right occasionally and despite the unfortunate (ok that is a really bad euphemism but I am rubbish at this stuff) circumstances I am really happy that things have at least worked out in terms of your wedding plans - now get on with the planning and have a day to remember!!

*hugs to all* As most of you can prolly tell by now I have made it to the other side for three weeks so am a lot less stressed despite the non-legal wedding being on Monday - EEP!! Have normal nerves but nothing too untoward. Will prolly not be making it on too often though as will be in Hawaii for a couple weeks and before that am busy with wedding stuff. Jeremy is at work today though so thought I would hang out a bit before sitting and chilling by the pool! Sunshine is glorious and intend to try and get some color into my pasty spoty skin before the wedding!!!

Well once again I've lost track of who I've congrat'd

Uh, Mox... the correct verb is "gratzied," ain't it? I thunked that this was common knowledge, si man. Aly may be tempted to smack you for your ilitrisy. The good news is that we're not Italians, because then we'd have to write "ringraziamente" all the time, si man.

Incidentally, the EB (Ecuadorian Babe) got her DHL yesterday and liked everything inside, especially the several romantic greeting-cards in Spanish, purchased conveniently right here in Tejas (Spanish spelling -- get used to it). She did inquire why there were no fotos (Spanish spelling, much more sensible than ours) of me in it. (I have sent her all that exist, si man!) Finally, I have just bought my ticket to Ecuador (convenient 5.5-hour nonstops on Continental, including dinner both ways, and something like 4,780 frequent-flyer miles to come from it, to replenish those that I used the last two times). Si, man!

youwhooooooo! I went from 270 to 226 in one week! At this rate I'll be approved by the end of March.

err.... On second thought, why the difference between the two lists - The one that STP shows me at 226 while the other spreadsheet on this thread shows me at 250, Is it because people haven't been updating timelines or people no longer active? Just curious, I know I'm in this for the long haul.

There are 3 reasons for differences between lists:

1. StP sorts the list by the NOA1 date. I sort the list by the sent date.

2. We are most likely using different criteria for filtering out timelines of people no longer active.

3. I don't know about StP, but I'm also including in my list the petitions sent to NSC and TSC that were then transferred to CSC.

Check my always up to date List of I-129F filers waiting for NOA2s. Now with some statistics. The data is from the VJ.com timelines.

Very cool, things seem to be moving forward quite nicely.

She did inquire why there were no fotos (Spanish spelling, much more sensible than ours) of me in it.

I'm really coming around to the phonetic way of spelling. (ironically, "phonetic" is not pronounced phonetically. Huh.) Russian is a really difficult language to learn, but thank goddess it's a phonetic language (with rare exceptions). I think one of Nadya's biggest problems with learning English was that it's not phonetic. Well that and the fact there is no "th" sound in Russian. Phrases like "thank you" are tough (and humorous to me) because she has to really concentrate and enunciate. It comes out like "thhhh ankyou." :)

Tank you, fank you... if she can approach the "th" sound, simply be alert to whether she has just taken a mouthful of crisp saltine crackers -- in this event, duck! Quack, man. By the way, what became of the pancake-bunny? The link now brings up a blank page. This situation is dire.

The "ir" sound in "Kirk" is particularly hard for her too. She can either do "Keerk" (with a rolling "R") or "Kuh-RRR-keh." We both prefer the former. :) She is, however, quite adamant about the pronunciation of her own name. It is "Nah-dyeh" not "Nad-ee-yah."

By the way, what became of the pancake-bunny? The link now brings up a blank page. This situation is dire.

If you're at work, it's quite possible that your company blocks Flickr. You'll have to get your pancake bunny fix at home I'm afraid.

I just thought being from Tejas and all...you know...you might be into that sort of thing.

How dare you call Texas "Tejas"? Are you one of these illegal-immigration apologists? Are you trying to say that the national language of Texas should not be Redneck... er, English?

Interestingly, in South America (Ecuador, Peru, parts of Colombia), people eat guinea pigs (called "cuy") as readily as we eat chicken. Indeed, in Ecuador, I have personally espied, with my own eyeballs, restaurant signs with "cuy" (in medium and large sizes) advertised colorfully right next to "pollo" (chicken). (I have not seen fotos of pancake-bunnies down there yet.) There are also streetside cuy-vendors. For all that one would want to know about this delicacy called cuy, and for delicious recipes, see: http://gosouthamerica.about.com/od/cuisine/a/cuy.htm

and do a Google search on "cuy" to see two images -- pre- and a serving idea -- right up top. Si, man.
