Costs?

My fiance and i are preparing the I-129F and were wondering what the overall costs were. We are ready to pay whatever it takes, but we just want to be prepared. We scrounged the internet, but found nothing about the total cost of the k1 visa. thank you

Well, I-129F is $170 fee to file. Then he/she´ll pay $100 at the interview.

Appart from this you´ll have the medical exam, which is different for each country, all the mail expenses, copies, translations (if needed), the passport pictures and any costs he/she might have to get to consulate for the interview.

agreed! I haven't gotten that far yet but it's what I have estimated. I'm already at $368 combined with fiance for gathering required stuff/mailing/petition plus birth cert. and passport. I'm keeping tabs of everything spent!

I´m at around $113 without having sent the I-129F, all of that just for copies, translations, postal service and passport pictures.

Also, don't forget that for many there are travel expenses for going to the interviews.....at the very least, money for gas or for train tickets, but maybe even for an overnight stay, depending on the circumstances and the country.

(For example, I had a 7 hour drive each way to the consulate in Frankfurt/Germany, so I combined the interview with the medical and stayed overnight.....thereby adding around 80 $ to my "bill" )

Over here, luckily, I only have to drive 2 hours each way for the biometrics appointment and then later to the interview. But with gas prices as they are, even those costs should be counted....

That being said, if you really want to frighten yourself, add up the ENTIRE cost of the relationship!

Well I believe that I received the NOA2 via email (we've been approved through Nebraska). I'm due to deploy to Iraq soon, what fees will there be for my fiancee and our daughter to get them here so that we can get married before my deployment, not counting the airline tickets and the actual wedding.

I'm thinking that in Guangzhou the interview is $100 and the medical exams are $100 each, please correct me if I'm wrong and also are there any other fees?
