A letter to your congressman or senator may be in order, if you are still waiting for approval on a K-1 visa as your timeline shows, and profile shows.

After 910 days I amstill waiting. My last call customer service was 7/25/2007. All I am being told is that I am caught up in the background check and my case is still pending. Any suggestions or recommendations/

Tried info pass. They say I have to wait

Again is this AOS, (You posted this in the AOS forum) or the original K-1 petition (Which this post should be in the K-1 forum)?

i think you should start calling them every day. 3 years for a background check is way beyond the normal for a K1. you can petition and have a green card in that time limit. i would keep calling until someone found my file. you have waited 3 years. i think you've been patient enough. sounds like your file is lost and they cant find it. It does happen that a file is lost. i have read a few posts where a couple had to re send the I129f package again because a service center lost theirs.

if your senator is involved and nothing is happening, can you try someone else, congressman etc. ?

Oh my lord....I was upset with my 200+ days!! I think it is time to be the squeaky wheel. I know they keep track of when you call if you get a rep at the service center because the woman today told me oh you called on this day and this day....they would be calling too if they were waiting for their life to begin!!!

this is scary.. i know it's a government organization.. but can you sue them if they lost your stuff and never told you and made you wait this long? or atleast giving you an immediate approval or something? i mean what's right and what's wrong? but i guess you can't fight this because even though the government is wrong.. THEIR ALWYS RIGHT.. i mean after all this is like business.. you paid them to do something for you in return..if it's not done right as customers we have the right to complain.. that's why they have this thing called CUSTOMER SERVICE.. WHICH SUCKS.. AND I THINK SOME OF THEIR REPS ARE FROM INDIA OR IRAQ hahahaha.. lols..
