Check processed but no NOA yet

My fiancé told me yesterday that his check has been processed!

But he hasnt received any NOA yet...

We both take it as a good sign, why would they proceed the check if the petition was not in order?

What's your experience regarding this matter?

Now you just join the rest of us in the waiting game! I would say expect to receive your NOA1 within about a month, although i think some on VJ have said that they dont even send them out anymore. And yes, having your cheque processed is a good thing...he could look on the back of it for the code to log onto USCIS with, but i really wouldnt worry about this.

Logging receipt and check cashing is done by a different group than the adjudication. You know that your package is in line to been seen by an adjudicator, but not that it will be completed without further information requests.

Same thing for me. I noticed they cashed the check and the NOA1 was waiting at home. Maybe they will work extra hard for the next few months to 'justify,' the 150% or more fee increases.

we've sent our petition before the 30th of july so we have sent the old $170 fee. Surely you did the same?

we've sent it to the Nebraska center.
