Ok I applied EI online last week, how long before you can hear from them?

It can take up to 28 days for them to make a decision.

I recieved Ei papers, the access code and other paper that i need to mail back....

Of course I dont have my EAD yet....

They sent me two forms that i need to fill in, ( asking if I work since I move to US) duh, I wish!!!

Now, will this affect my application or the amount of EI i will get..

FYI, i submit my application late, i think it was last week of June. ( last day of work was april 26)

BTW, you can fax all that stuff to them vs mail it, I used hello fax and it's free. You won't get ei until you have your EAD because you aren't able to work.

Do all your reports on the phone. Call the number I listed earlier, leave a message and they'll call you back. It's a lot faster than waiting on the snail mail. They tell you when to call in next too.

Mail dated july 8, (8 days after)i recieved yesterday they want the response in 10 bussiness day??? means I have 3 days ???

Thanks alot. I did called and left a message. Now I just need to wait. Any idea on how many days before they give you a call back?

They call back same day. (unless they're closed, then the next day)

For a questionnaire I faxed to 1-613-545-8934

But that is not for doing the working reports, just the USA work authorization questionnaire.

Thank you very much. Ive faxed the USA work authorization questionnaire. He called back 2 hours after, and I will call back every other friday about the work report....

Now, hope i can get the EAD soon.

That would be good. They'll probably require a faxed copy of the EAD and then you should start receiving money soon after. I call on Fridays and am paid on Tuesday!

I phoned today. They said that my claim officially starts after they get your EAD so basically it's my 2 week waiting period (even though I've been waiting 3 months) and then next report I'll be getting some money.

Just got my EAD today.

Yesterday I called in, I was instructed to call every two weeks. Stranged no one calls me back, they usually do.

Today, I called again and faxed the copy of my EAD ... no one calls back...?
